you're lucky it works anyway, this video card is not a gaming one, you can barely use office suites, watch movies and surf the web.We can't add in software what your laptop lacks in hardware.

What Licaon said. It's surprising to most of us, and you're fortunate that it plays at all.Intel graphics implementations are notorious for being incompetent at playing games. So much so that many games simply "fold their tents and silently steal away" when they detect an Intel graphics setup. The "Sandy Bridge" on-CPU graphics chips, including yours, are much improved and will actually play many games decently. But older games do not know this and will refuse to start or will start only with low settings.Unfortunately, because that's a notebook, there is nothing you can do in the way of upgrading, and I don't believe the game can be hacked to allow it to run with textures it doesn't think it can use.

Now you're trolling. Sandy Bridge doesn't even have DX11.

Must be a DX11 emulator; I know they exist; I didn't think any laptop maker had actually integrated one. The check is not removable. It is part of the executable, and at the risk of repeating myself, the developers will not produce a version that has it removed, and nobody here will hack it.

That's just the DirectX libraries supportDoes this laptop have any other video card? Is it Optimus enabled, like does it have a nVidia card as well like a GTX460M or something? if so read the FAQ: http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=17503.0 on Optimus and retrythe laptop model does not shed light on many things like custom system components and dxdiag might just report the first card it sees, hence the Intel HD one
