Triss is the outlet in the sorceress fashion elite. There's a good reason for this: she is allergic to magic on his body so she must to do her work with a different style.

Um, that's not why. She doesn't go for the cleavage-baring stuff because she has a scar on her chest, the result of injuries so severe that magical healing couldn't erase all the damage. Her being allergic to magical potions (and it's only potions) is an entirely different issue. She can use other magical means just fine:

“I’m allergic!” she sobbed with helpless exasperation and despairing anger. “I always have been! I can’t tolerate elixirs! I can treat others with them but can only treat myself with amulets.”

I have a stupid question: Can't sorceresses change their looks? Why doesn't she cover the scar or let it disappear? ...... (Not so experienced with the books, sorry).

They can and they do. I may be dreaming this up but it seems I read in the books most sorceresses started out as ugly ducklings, so their first order of business was altering their appearance. But if it's something major such as what happened to Triss, it may be irreversible. I feel CDPR made a practical decision in the first game and omitted the scar.

They can of course create illusions and the like, but permanently altering themselves physically is implied to be fairly difficult, and tends to leave subtle indications. Geralt for instance deduces Yennefer was once a hunchback because her shoulders are slightly misaligned.

Well, the scar is supposed to be pretty faint, so that may have been difficult to pull off well. Still, they couldn't resist tarting her up in that silly outfit with massive cleavage and fishnets.

I think Triss has an "allergy" on magical cures, and as such can't use magic for that purpose.

In Blood Of Elves, she states she's allergic to potions/elixirs only. She can use other methods just fine. How else do you think they healed her after she almost died at Sodden? She was so fucked up as to be unrecognizable. That ain't a bed rest and bandages situation.

Something prevented her from healing that scar. Allergy to magic was mentioned in TW1, but I don't remember it in the books.

@Gilrond as @didymos1120 said, there is a explain for this a few posts ago. He posted it but for all who are might be
to lazy to read through :D

The scar Triss have on her chest isn t physical, its just an psychical issue because of the trauma she expierienced
in the battle. So i already told you guys people change during time, i think at last she overcomed this issue ;)

Specially after nilfgaards interogation... and so on

If what only a psicological issue she then really never ever wear any kind of real or virtual cleavage. I never undestood this scar as didymos1120 says. As she explain her history I understood it was physical, always.

The scar isn´t physical... anymore, but it was, the psychological damage is what remains... until her last day, by her words.

I've always understood physical scar too.

From what we know about her story about the battle of Sodden Hill after a blast she was injured (her hair were burned too) and two of her friends got killed. So she'll never forget what she saw and what she experienced.
I think it's both psychological and physical.

Maybe my memory fails me but I always understood that the sorceresses who saved her did all the best but their magic were not enough because TRISS 'S ALLERGY, so her body reconstitution didn't never be total.

Her allergy is about magic potions and magic spells on her body, that's why she sitll have the physical scar on the breath, there where heart and lungs needed hardest magic, those she might not support. (and why Rose of Rememberance never would have any effect on her)

Yeah, it's definitely physical. Don't know why that guy said that I didn't think it was. What I (and Triss) said is that it wasn't a super prominent scar:

“They used the highest magics on us,” she continued in a muted voice, “spells, elixirs, amulets and artefacts. Nothing was left wanting for the wounded heroes of the Hill. We were cured, patched up, our former appearances returned to us, our hair and sight restored. You can hardly see the marks. But I will never wear a plunging neckline again, Geralt. Never.”

I.e. it's noticeable enough to remind her of what happened and make her self-conscious, but it's not like one of Geralt's crazy scars.

Me neither, because I never said it was all in her head.

No, her allergy wasn't mentioned in that context. It came up quite a bit later when she caught some sort of stomach flu. The damage was simply so bad they couldn't get rid of all the scarring.
