How does Assassination work?

Hi,
Can someone who has this card in his/her collection tell me what exactly do? Its description is vague, "damage enemies by 8 and then by 8". My guess is we pick 2 enemies and damage them both by 8 but If so why the description just doesn't say it simple that way, like "damage 2 enemies by 8"? Can someone clarify me please?

That is correct. You choose 2 enemy units and damage each one of them by 8.

you can damage 1 enemy twice for 16 or 2 enemies for 8, it's literally hit for 8, then you choose again and hit for 8 second time

Its not so great a card now, but can be good for control when combined with other golds like eskel and Leo. If it could also lock after deatroying it would be much better. Hopefully it will be included in the next patch

Assassination became even more ridiculous than before. And now it's powerless against Quen, cause the "Lock" tag is gone.
