How hot does your video card/processor get while playing TW3?

Hey all,

This is just for the fun of it, and to gather some info with several setups/builds/etc.
The thing is to post info about your cpu which means brand, clock speed, oc or no oc, what kind of cooling, and alongside this the temperature you get (preferably in both celcius AND fahrenheit) while playing tw3.
The same goes for your video card; brand, clock speed, oc or no oc, cooling and the temp.

You can use the program called coretemp for both your cpu and gpu.
And for your gpu, you can use msi afterburner or evga precision x (you dont need a card of one of these brands, since the programs will both work with other brands)

I think by doing this we can archice a good solid libary for us to check, but as well for others who are planning to buy TW3 for his/her pc, or to plan to buy a new pc for TW3 :)

I kickoff with this, and i hope many will follow;

CPU:
AMD FX 8350 4.0ghz x8
No OC
Watercooling Corsair Hydro H55
24°C/75°F minimum
34°C/93°F maximum

GPU
EVGA Geforce gtx 970 superclocked acx 2.0
No OC
Stock cooling + 2 120mm casefans
64°C/147°F minimum
68°C/155°F maximum

Running TW3 maxed out with hairworks on at 1080p

Now its up to you to make a great topic!

Cheers from Mara

ps. The shortcut to type the ° is press and hold ALT while typing 0176 on your numeric keyboard

I run both fans at 100% when gaming. Have so many fans as it it is I never even hear them. If everything is on auto, then temps just opening web pages will see mid 50c's. I run both fans 100%, temps will drop to low/mid 30's (this is idle temps while say typing right now).

Card is a MSI GTX 970 Gaming4G. With ONLY k-boost on (EVGA Precision X 16 as Afterburner doesn't have k-boost AND it seems to crash a bunch of games if try OC'ing card) with this particular card, forces a mild OC on core to 1328 mhz, whereas 1279 mhz is "supposed" to be max core going off specs. Not sure, but I think since it's locking voltage, that 1279 (where it "should" be as it normally wouldn't see a voltage locked; I know if put a heavy OC on this card like +250 core and +460 mem, which this card CAN do in Heaven, if you up the voltage it CAN increase core speed by about the same difference as 1279 to 1328; just adding this info as my old GTX 550ti never had core change with k-boost nor voltage increments) is bumping to 1328.

Anyways, in-game with fans 100% forced, k-boost running, with a +100 core and + 200 memory (could go higher but it's really pointless as the card can run the game at nearly 60 fps regardless and 1-5 extra fps wouldn't even be noticed as I manually cap at 60 in-game settings) which puts card at 1428 mhz (I've had card at the 1.6 ghz mark during extensive benching, but anything over 1.59 ghz actually hurts performance), every setting in-game Ultra, with shadows medium, HBAO+ on, Hairworks 2, AA on, anything with "blur" turned OFF along with depth of field or whatever it's called OFF, rest of post processing ON like vignette, bloom, etc., and 1920 x 1080 and temps are never leave the middle 60's.

8350 @ 4.5 ghz
GTX 970 MSI Gaming4G
16gb Rip Jaw RAM
EVGA Supernova 1000 G2 PSU

I'd like to add, turning DSR on and trying to force a 4k downsample, cripples the card at these settings. Not enough VRAM available to do it, which stinks as the card is capable IF it had say 8gb of VRAM. Although the new AMD 300 series cards aren't much different than the 200 series, AMD is putting 8gb VRAM on some of them. Too bad nvidia didn't do it 1st, but from a marketing point of view, they can now do the same thing and rebrand current cards with 8gb VRAM, as that's needed to max 4k. Really wish they'd make VRAM upgrade-able like normal RAM sticks are, as it'd let you get more from your videocard.

Intel Core i5-2500K (oc'ed to 4,2)
Kingston 8GB HyperX Genesis Limited Edition 1600MHz
Corsair Enthusiast Series 650W
MSI 280X gaming
(factory oc'ed)

Playing at 35-45 fps with almost everything on ultra (no hairworks ofc).
I do have the gpu driver crashing issue (hope we can find out whats causing it soon) but not at a gamebreaking degree maybe 3-4 times per day.

Temperatures are around 70 for my gpu and around 55 for my cpu.

@balander.

You dont find 650W to low for your gpu and cpu?
Might be that im used to an amd cpu with nividia gpu (which normally takes more watts), but still i'd say 650w is a bit low.
Correct me if im wrong ofcourse

i5 3570K @ 4.5GHz (Temp 55-60C / 131-140F auto fan control) using Hyper 212 EVO, IHS delidded+sanded internal side.

GTX680 @ 1178MHz (Temp 61-67C / 141-152F user preset max fan speed at 60C/141F)

Room temp 27-28C / 80-82F

Edit; i also use 650W, PSU were never hot during gaming, as the fan is mostly run at low to idle speed.

Using 2 GTX 770 4gb OC2 from PNY in two-way SLI. The top graphics cars, when GPU usage is almost 100%, goes flaming up to 88ºC when not in 90ºC. The other, however, never passes 72ºC. I know, I know, it's too hot, still looking for better cooling options. My case is a Corsair 500R with watercooling for the CPU, two 120mm frontal fans, one 120mm bottom fan, one 200mm side fan, the radiator 120mm fan, and a top 120mm fan in exhaustion mode.

Running it on 2xGigabyte GTX 970 Gaming and i7 4790K inside a coolermaster HAF X, full settings @ 1080p with nvidia HW on (constant 60 fps):

GPU1 runs at ~70°C, peaks at <75°C
GPU2 runs at ~65°C, peaks at <70°C
CPU runs at ~60°C, peaks at ~70°C
Room temperature is 32°C (the perk of living at the top of the building, right under the roof)

Temps are fine I think.

Built this computer several years ago but i'm dirt poor and haven't been compelled to upgrade mobo/cpu yet:

cpu: intel core i5-750k OC@ 4.0ghz
cooler: xigmatek crossbow ACK-I5361
gpu: ASUS GeForce gtx 960 2g not OC'd (when oc'd even slightly, started crashing game every 1-2 hours)
fps: ~50-55 fps mostly with lows dipping down to 40 fps at problem areas, 1080p with high-ultra settings; no AA
cpu temp: maxes at 67°C
gpu temp: maxes at 52°C

I upgraded the gpu from a ATI HD6950 just for this game. It ran at about 25-35 fps at ~68°C at low-medium settings on that old card, so this is a nice improvement.

my i7 920, 6 gb corsair dominator, and 780 nvidia can run this game full cept hair at 60. this is a 6 year old computer with around 55c cpu and 55c gpu.. but the card was replaced almost 2 years ago. im feeling pretty borderline with this game... but luckly this game seems to run more off the gpu, which makes my old comp run great for this game.

im jelly for your guys comps but I got one smug face knowing I run this game perfectly fine with a old pos.
