How is everyone with there new console?

Hope yall Europeans are having fun with the Euro PS4 launch. Anyway is everyone enjoying there new console?(if you got one). Anyone have Killzone shadow fall or BF4 for PS4? I don't have Xbox One but im sure its fun. How is Dead Rising 3? I'm also looking for someone to play Killzone shadow fall with cause the lack of player communication in the mp is driving me crazy. So how has everyone's experience been so far with PS4/ XB1

And see, that's what's wrong with consoles; you have to play them in your living room, at your TV, on the couch. With PC games, especially with many of them supporting the "full screen window" or "borderless window" option, you can play a game, and flip to a web browser with zero delay. In fact, the game will be running behind the web browser, and to be honest, you can post on forums while your character is moving. That's how amazing it is to play on the PC.

On a console? Nope.

Well, if I understand correctly that's what Xbox One lets you do - run a browser/another application in a window right by your game.

Gran Turismo 7 will eventually come out for PS4. At that time, I'll get one. Not really compelled to get one sooner; still enjoying my PS3 just fine.

Depending on what happens with PS3 prices, I may get a PS3 to play DUST 514.

VGX should be an awesome show, and yeah i hope too that there will be some The Order gameplay shown and there will be the new The Witcher 3 trailer

No reason for me to get one until they'll release next NHL that is actually better on PS4 than on PS3. So earliest at next autumn.

Depending on what happens with PS3 prices, I may get a PS3 to play DUST 514.

DUST514 is a'aight. Controls feel a little clunky to me, but I don't play a lot of FPS / TPS games for comparison.

They've been absolutely BRILLIANT at monetizing everything in game. EVERYTHING. While you *can* play for free, there's a LOT of goodies that are easier to get if you dump real world money into the game.

Oh, did I mention? All resources are consumable. So, if you get fragged a lot, those guns / armor you just bought get eaten up quicker.

What I've heard from EVE players is that Dust 514 is a complete failure as what it was meant to be; an extension of EVE. It's a shame, really, because we knew it would never be a stellar FPS on it's own, but it was going to be the first real case of tying up an MMO and an FPS. I don't have much details, that's just what the EVE players I've asked about it have said.

Yar. Same here. "No real reason to waste resources on DUST stuff", to paraphrase what I've read. EVE players rarely care to spend so that DUST is relevant.

ON TOPIC: I'll get one when any console justifies its' price. Which they can't. They're at best mid-range PC components, and even then only mid-range for the time they were designed. So, overpriced, prepackaged, unmodifiable old average hardware, or a new mid-range graphics card, monitor and more RAM? Hmmm... lemme do the maths...

From this, two things come:

1. They were right to reduce production on WoD in favour of DUST and only that allowed them to make even this flawed product. Worrying because if DUST was the best they had, well, WoD is going to come from that same studio and production value set.

or

2. They made a mistake and should have realised, ( as some people warned them, this being the Net), that DUST was going to be a flawed relative of Planetside with an interesting MMO link and no more. Worrying because that's how things turned out anyway and it was a bad judgement call which means more such calls are likely to be made about WoD.

At $400, a PS4 is a quite good investment. Running a smooth 1080p with 5.1 capable sound, 8GB of GDDR5 RAM as well as an extar 2GB stuck in there, a blu ray player and HDD, this is difficult to build a PC that can compete. Plus OS cost.

Certainly not likely for anyone that doesn't know how to build it themselves.

Fair enough, it's not something everyone has the skillset for. Me, I hadn't built one in so long, I bought this one from somewhere horrid, then cracked it and started upgrading. Now I'm working again, some of the money I put away will be used to re-shiny this machine. But first physio, then a monitor. A real one. I've been gaming with my 17-odd inch lcd from a seat next to my graphic designer GF's bigass screen, and it makes me feel... inadequate?

EDIT: Oh and WoD... *sigh* The guy who started White Wolf had some great taste, but seemed to lack any sense when it came to licensing his work to people who don't suck. I mean, A.A Ron Spelling? That Vampire 90210 show was carcrash-tastic. I remember the night it came out, every Goth club in Melbourne was dead. Everyone watched it. The next week, no-one would admit to it...
