How mature will be The Witcher 3 ?

Well, since this will be the last adventure of Geralt of Rivia, and since this will be a game based on things from the Book, i expected a story full of mature content, and by matured, i mean show thing like they are in really.
Pillage, Tortures, Slaves, Betrayals, Rapes, Corruption, Brutality, Religion, Neutrality, Battlefield... and since Nilfgard is here, a lot of fire and dead bodies.
Geralt almost avoid most of the things that happen around himself, since he is neutral, the game should show to him like a true Witcher , no a heroe that saved to everyone for nothing, he only care about himself and his friends...

Why i said this since all the two games have this ? well, The Witcher 3 suppoce to be a really big succes, and a lot of new players and young ones will play for sure this game, i am afraid that CD RED will have to make the game "soft" for those players
Will be the wild hunt a true witcher game ? I hope so, but the lack of new information makes me doubt my faith, even if i still think that the Witcher 3 will be the best RPG since Baldur Gates.

I think W3 will be the most mature game we have ever seen. W2 matured greatly since W1, that is an undeniable fact, and I believe that CDPR will deal with the last game perfectly.

I hope that there will be more cutting/blood effects! Like chopping of hand, leg, and so on.

Yes, we went a long way since TW1, baby. TW1 was the most conventional, where Geralt was always on a brink of becoming a white knight. with Lady of the Lake knighting him with a wow to protect the helpless and what-not.
Then, thankfully, CDPR went fully dark fantasy, and in TW2 Geralt is no knight, and defending the helpless is not on his agenda. Sure, he may join Saskia and fight for Free Pontar, but he can also go and help Henselt to conquer the Pontar Valley.
My hope is that in TW3 everything will be even more ambiguous, Nilfgaard will not be just another Mordor bent on exterminating all free folk, but an empire historically similar to Rome, and this war will be presented similar to a conquest of Dacia, for example. With a lot of different paths CDPR will have an option to make everyone happy, to make a lot of interesting decisions that will shape the world and lead to very different outcomes.

Since they're 2 for 2 in making uncompromising games, I'm not too concerned. Besides, most gamers don't want a 'soft' witcher game. They want something that challenges their preconceived notions of morality and fantasy tropes. If they gave us a kinder, gentler Witcher, there would be hell to pay.

They will keep the level of witcher 2 ... in w3 you will see gore improved with cut off limbs& blood ... I dont think they will show the real bad stuff like rape or over the top torture scenes in detail ... i mean there will be blood & stuff... but it wont get real ugly ..... since that stuff is kinda disturbing ... they will keep it at the yellow zone for the most part .... so basicly the sick stuff is left out ... but it gets as gory as it gets ..

Oh yeah, nobody wanna be a fuckign rape, but just mentions about this, like, "they pillaged and rape this village" or " yes, they raped my sister, omg !, please, kill them" , i mean, this is "normal" even on our times, where wars come, do not talk about this is like do not talk about pedophiles on the religion.

Moral ambiguity, taking responsibility for your actions; these are the things that make a mature game for me. I don't care about blood and gore. The sex (including rape) can happen off screen for all I care, but it should affect the way characters think, what they fear and what they long for.

The atmosphere and world are good in maturity terms. I'd like some more blood and guts on my screen after swordfights, because TW2 still felt like an arcade chop-em-up in that respect.

I'd like to realise what i've actually done to that soldier, once i see him choking on his own blood, or his guts are spilling out. I'd like to feel dread with every person i kill, even if he/she needed killing.

While staying realistic, ofcourse. No DA2, where everyone explodes. But i've heard TW3 will have more of what i mentioned above.

Maturity is not about blood and gore.
Blood and gore happen when people are not mature.
Because any war, any violence always target first those who are unprotected - women, children, older people.
A person becomes mature when he/she is responsible for their actions.

It's like it isn't enough gore in the news?
Armed conflicts, road accidents, natural disasters and tons of other blood and gore shown fully on TV.
Join army and you'll see it all with your on eyes.
Just when in real live you can quickly become a victim: loose your eyes, limbs, have serious wounds. It's not pleasant, you know.

Ofcourse it's not pleasant, and i'm not taking joy in seeing it either. But it's needed for an immersive experience. TW3 is supposed to be an 18+ game, so if i do horrible stuff to people, like cutting their throat, not seeing the horrible gore and horror that comes with that breaks realism and immersion.

I think most games that are trying to be mature and realistic are way too light on gore. Killing is horrible, and it should look and feel that way when you're doing it in such a game. It should make killing a burden, not a sport.

There is one man on the forums, he drops teasers in threads and is single-handedly making us excited in a way while saying very little. I thank that man.

You didn't understand me.
I'm not against showing in a game blood and killings.
What makes me disgusted are some people who want blood and gore, who enjoy it too much, like it's the most important thing. There is something unnatural in their responses, like they crave for blood. But if you've seen real bloodshed only on TV, in movies, you must understand that they show it directed to seem more artistic or hide reality altogether. In real life people can become residents of psychiatric asylums after just witnessing mass murders. So far, CDPR were great in dealing with this topic, showing only scenes that are absolutely necessary.
I believe they will do the same in W3.
Hope I made myself clear.

I sign that.

I would like to see more sexy content instead of more evil.

P.S. Back in the Witcher you could actually cut heads and arms in combat but in Witcher 2 I couldn't do that. Strange or what?

You can in Witcher 2 actually, but it's very rare and well lacks the required BLOOD AND GORE. VGX trailer shows that's been addressed tho.

Allright, maybe i want games to be too serious in this respect. I understand games have to stay fun, and thus cannot put in stuff that will cause some people to become depressed, or worse. Maybe thats going too far. But on the other hand, i think it can be good to get people as close to reality as possible once in a while. Just as a reminder that killing and torture equals serious horror in real life.

I agree with you on your opinion on people who ''get a boner'' from seeing gore though.

It's because you don't see such things in your everyday reality.

Ha,
this game is going rock. We get to do hot chicks and slay monsters in one huge open world with no loading screens.
We get new awesome mature story lines and a whole lot more freedom in so many ways.
The crystal ball says.. TW3 IS AMAZING.

Thou Art not of this world. ;)
