Your setup is somewhat similar to mine, in that we're both running Vista and we seem to have similar CtD frequencies and circumstances. I'm running every driver on the system with the newest-latest-greatest drivers but no beta code. I've got a quad-core AMD Phenom chip, Gateway motherboard, and the ATI Radeon HD 3200 video card that it came with .. as usual, I'll upgrade the video card ASAP..aFP (.. as Finances Permit). :dead:I just located my previous computer's old Win-XP install disks, and I will probably give dual-booting a try soon, plus .. researching a version of Linux to run my Solaris Dev environment on and brush up on my coding tools..Balasarius said:I crash to desktop every few hours. Very frustrating. Seems to happen about 2/3 of the time when zoning, and the other 1/3 of time it doesn't matter what I'm doing.I previously played the 1.0 and 1.1 versions. I don't recall any crashes.I'm using Vista with older Geforce drivers - Dec 2007. (City of Heroes, my current MMO of choice, doesn't like the newer versions.)
I sure hope so, my fellow (former?!) Witcher-wanna-be. I _have_ had games that I really wanted to play, in the past, and had to abandon entirely for one technical reason or another. It's always a very very frustrating experience. >sigh<Terrasidius said:Mines used to crash all the time last christmas, ...clipped for brevity..... so hopefully after i have finished downloading the 909MB worth of extended edition patch!!...it should be alright...i hope....Put it this way, since i bought the game last year i have not been able to play it for more than an hour or so so i have not played it since about January 2008, i figured i would come see if i could actually play the game now.
