I guess I am an oldy moldy myself, being 56 now. My first game was Pong and I thought it was amazing at the time however, I enjoy todays graphically enhanced games like Witcher, Gears of War, Crysis, etc. all of which I am playing or have played. These are much better than Pong! Mind you I had to spend quite a bit to play those games to get a good system but it was worth the money. My 15 year old step-son calls me a geek. I take it as a compliment. :)

Gears of War, now that is a really fun game. not the actual quest but the 4 on 4 combat online is seriously addictive, have the game, love the game, every true gamer should play it atleast once in their lifetime :)

LoooooL that made me laugh cause I know what you are talking about. When I start talking about P&P RP or PC Games to none-gamers I usually am called a freak. I always take that as a complement and let them feel my pity for missing out on so much fun :p

26 at the moment.Start playing games at the age of 10 on a 486 with DOS. First games i had played was Simcity, Prince of Persia and Airborne. That 486 was from my dad. After some years i got a console (snes and later playstation) Then after that i've got my own computer, a PIII 600. The first game on that was age of empires II.Nowadays i play morrowind, oblivion and now also the witcher.

I'm 58, so Brag's got me. Had to laugh at some of the early travails of PC Gaming. I remember the "fun" days when you had to be able to re-edit DOS autoexec.bat and config.sys files just to get some games to run. Couldn't run games in Windows 3.1. The days of x-286 PCs, 40 MG HDs, games game on 5" diskettes. Games (and the technology) have come a long way, baby. Thinking what they'll be like 20 years from now makes me drool. Come to think of it, they're likely to be wiping drool off my chin by then, I'll be so old. ;D

33 Years old here. Commodore 64 was the breakthrough for me. Played many of the classic games mentioned in this thread but I think "Wizards of War" and "Defender of the Crown" were the ones that made me a gamer. ... and, as we must admit seeing this thread ... once a gamer, always a gamer ;D
