I'm 23 now, my first experience with games was an old Tangerine that could play Frogger. Then we got an Amstrad CPC with a tape drive which would take about three hours to load a game, and I had some of the best fun on that playing light cycles against my older brother, Bedlam cooperative, and probably quite a few things I can't remember. Eventually we got our first PC, a 386 with a TURBO button. Of course the first game I played on it was the best game ever made - Golden Axe.I remember my first FPS game - Blake Stone, on the W3D engine. I remember coming home from school one day, and my Dad had loaded up Doom - I was completely blown away by the graphics back then. I remember a dual-minigun toting Hitler in a giant robot from W3D, and the silly accents of the Nazis when you killed them. I remember playing Alex Kidd on my friend's Master System. I remember my first game of Street Fighter - I played as Dhalsim. One of my fondest gaming memories is of FFVII - I was stuck at my gran's house after eating a bad batch of oysters which laid me out for an entire day where I was so ill I couldn't even sleep - so I just played FFVII, and while under the effects of food poisoning, it almost had this dreamy feel to it.I have so many good memories of gaming, I can actually reminisce, and I get serious nostalgia looking at screenshots of games I used to play. I feel really old now.
