30 years oldMy first memory of a RPG was the C64 version of Legacy of the Ancients. I remember wondering through a gallery of paintings, going through one of them, sometimes dying on foot trying to reach a location when the food ran out, and killing townspeople if I wanted to rob the bank.Otherwise I have memories of playing math games with animal characters on either the atari 2600, coleco, or the intellivision. It was one of those anyway.

Mmm... I'm 17 now and I think my first game experience was at 10, when I played Unreal Tournament. And I remember that didn't understand what to do exactly :D

Old enough... and by the way...you don't ask a lady how old she is. If she is a lady she'll just celebrate her 25th birthday a couple of times and you would always know that she's as young as morning dew and wonderfull like the sun.

I'm 23 now, my first experience with games was an old Tangerine that could play Frogger. Then we got an Amstrad CPC with a tape drive which would take about three hours to load a game, and I had some of the best fun on that playing light cycles against my older brother, Bedlam cooperative, and probably quite a few things I can't remember. Eventually we got our first PC, a 386 with a TURBO button. Of course the first game I played on it was the best game ever made - Golden Axe.I remember my first FPS game - Blake Stone, on the W3D engine. I remember coming home from school one day, and my Dad had loaded up Doom - I was completely blown away by the graphics back then. I remember a dual-minigun toting Hitler in a giant robot from W3D, and the silly accents of the Nazis when you killed them. I remember playing Alex Kidd on my friend's Master System. I remember my first game of Street Fighter - I played as Dhalsim. One of my fondest gaming memories is of FFVII - I was stuck at my gran's house after eating a bad batch of oysters which laid me out for an entire day where I was so ill I couldn't even sleep - so I just played FFVII, and while under the effects of food poisoning, it almost had this dreamy feel to it.I have so many good memories of gaming, I can actually reminisce, and I get serious nostalgia looking at screenshots of games I used to play. I feel really old now.

I've played on Commodore 64. My first online RPG was "Shadows of Yserbius" through Sierra Online, which was basic at best. I've played RPGs when they were issuing games on 5 1/4 diskettes and 40 mg HDs were killer. You had to know how to program Dos 6.0 to get games to play well. Games on a Window platform were unheard of, ;DSo that makes me old...

Just read through the thread again - so does my 64 years still hold the record or does Coastie65 signature indicate age? ;D

I am 51 & I love The Witcher. I am from the pinball generation folks....do you understand????? I have been introduced to video games by my kids who are Final Fantasy addicts....My first vdeo game was Morrowind, then KOTOR + DEUS EX (one of my favourites, I install it once a year : brilliant) + NOLF2 + Freelancer + Arcanum + The Nomad Soul + TRON 2.0 + GW (great game + creative devs + no fee :-*)Imho The Witcher is the best game I have EVER played in my already long life.CDPROJEKTRED please just keep on doing it for years, you ROCK while famous devs are working on the 85th FPS or 31st RTS....what a shame :'(

hahaha I'm 42, almost 43 yrs old. And I play FPS games mostly (BF1942, Crysis, COD 4) but for several years I played Diablo 2 LOD. I'm hoping that The Witcher will fill my need for fantasy rpg gaming!!
