Hmm. Well, I'm not familiar with Geralt of Rivia in any other medium, so whatever other stories there are I can't make opinion on. What I can say is this: In the Witcher, it is made manifestly clear that Geralt of Rivia died of a pitchfork in the gut, in Rivia. Five years later he shows up again (at the beginning of the game). My contention is this: Since he has died, is his actual, *original* date of birth even marginally relevant anymore?He is no longer human, or even mutant. He came back from the dead after five years - so now he's a supernatural being - for practical purposes, undead, or at the very least, *reborn*. In the Witcher, he's in his first year of life. He's less than a year old. Ergo, in the Witcher II, which as I understand it falls chronologically hard on the heels of the first game, he's not much older.
