You shouldn't have to. Thelios gave me this link when I was asking about installing Side Effects and Price of Neutrality which is a faq on how to install the patch and extra content. http://www.thewitcher.com/community/en/www/ee_update_faq.htmlkyleo4 said:when this is said and done and i am going to install ee do i uninstall the game first or what?
Yes I did. I'm still getting the same message.Irenicus23 said:Did you put the language pack AND EE 1.4 patch into one folder? Do this then open the EE patch. You will not have to install the language pack separately.Irenicus23 said:I'm having a real problem installing the patch. When I try to run the Enhanced Edition .exe file, I'll get past the point where I need to enter my password and get an error message saying that it cannot find the language pack. But then if I try to install the Language pack first, it says: Please install The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Upgrade before installing %p.So I can't install the enhanced edition without the language pack, but I can't install the language pack without the enhanced edition. What's going on?

I got this too but found it was my firewall doing the blocking to the main server. I reboot PC and allowed the traffic and all fine.DyreStraits said:My current problem is that the remote server -- for verifying registration -- is not available. Okay, I had a similar problem but that was because I had to re-register my game since I installed on a new hard drive. Make sure your game is registered before you attempt to install the patch. If you guys are still having this problem I think you should ask in the tech support forum or hopefully someone else here will be able to give you more advice. I know you must be eagerly anticipating getting through the whole process and finally playing so hopefully someone will have some other advice soon that will resolve the problem.TheKingofKings said:SAME PROBLEMTheKingofKings said:getting the same message what givesTheKingofKings said:Yes I did. Register the game first using your key code then follow my linksEvercracker said:Hi everyone. I just found out that the enhanced version has been released. I got the original Wittcher as an Xmas gift. Before I had a chance to play I heard that this new addition was coming out so I shelved the game. So I have the original game still wrapped in plastic with its $50 price tag....PLEASE tell me that I can still install this, register and then get a free copy of the additional content. The way it was worded as "HAD registered the game" made me worried it was past tense only?
