The colors will be quite pretty, and we're doing our best to make the story much, much better than we did in first part of the game.fchopin said:You do know that all the colour in the universe will mean nothing if the story is not up to scratch.I am happy with TW1 colours if the story is good and enthralling.
Why so negative? This is not about the story, it's about the forest. Maybe start complaining when you see the story go bad, not before. As for the forest: Looks great! Looking forward to go for a walk there and beat up some monsters. Keep up the good work and give this sequel a good story AND some awesome looks!fchopin said:You do know that all the colour in the universe will mean nothing if the story is not up to scratch.I am happy with TW1 colours if the story is good and enthralling.
If the forest is like a character, how it should look will depend on what kind of character it is.Is the forest wild, dangerous, forbidding? Is it beautiful, tranquil, refreshing? Is it dark, gloomy, twisted? Is it full of life and home to lots of creatures? Have people (human, elven, dwarven, or dryadic) ever lived there? How old is it? What kind of reputation does it have among the people who live nearby?Tell me who this character IS, and then we can tell you how it should look.nme said:Huge, overwhelming, colorful? I am not being negative just realistic, i would prefer they concentrated on characters, plot and side missions rather than colours.TheMearl said:Why so negative? Where is this gallery, i cannot find it.TheMearl said:Please take a look on some fresh screens in our gallery and see how the forest looks like today.
You don't seem to realize that they have people who concentrate on the characters, plot and missions while another group of people who are specialized to work on the graphics and atmosphere of the game. They can't just put EVERYONE to work on the freaking plot... Do people even think anymore these days before posting stuff like this or are they really so clueless.fchopin said:I am not being negative just realistic, i would prefer they concentrated on characters, plot and side missions rather than colours.fchopin said:Why so negative? Just like that. Also much space, some ruins, maybe pure rivers/waterplaces... and very different kind of terrain; unique places...Brag said:Big tall trees, some mist to make it look little mysterious with some nice blur on the distance and great looking god rays coming through the leaves. Overall looks excellent.

I do know how games are made so thank you for the obvious reply, don’t assume that if someone posts something you don’t like it automatically makes them idiots without understanding about games.Brag said:You don't seem to realize that they have people who concentrate on the characters, plot and missions while another group of people who are specialized to work on the graphics and atmosphere of the game. You have every right to have your opinion, just like everyone else here. I just didn't - and still don't - see the point of posting your concerns about the story in a thread about the new forest, which is mainly about the looks of the game. That's an entirely different field, and though we all know that there are terrible games with superb graphics, nothing so far points into that direction for TW2. Just meaning well, no need to get angry.Back to topic: That monster slashing screen looks VERY bloody. Great stuff, I see that CDPR is making no compromises here. Please, keep TW2 mature, and if you have trouble publishing it your way in ... well, Germany, where I live, then don't do it all. We fans and every other decent gamer here will get it from the UK or elsewhere to have it the way you want it to be.fchopin said:I do know how games are made so thank you for the obvious reply, don’t assume that if someone posts something you don’t like it automatically makes them idiots without understanding about games.
Riiight, there's nothing about your post that I didn't like, it's just out of place to talk about story in a thread about the forest. But whatever, let's end this and get back on the topic.fchopin said:I do know how games are made so thank you for the obvious reply, don’t assume that if someone posts something you don’t like it automatically makes them idiots without understanding about games.
