How was deathmarch tweaked in patch 1.10?

Just curious if they made it easier/harder or what?

It seemed to me that enemies actually did less damage on deathmarch

AFAIK, only NG+ was balanced by the patch but I've not tried it yet.

Monsters do much less damage now but humans/non-humans do much more. Random Human/non-human mob hit me for 5.5k out of my total 6.3k in level 50 for example while monsters hit for less than 1k. That was with light armor.

I am getting impression that monsters actually do a bit more damage (I am on deathmarch + NG+). I am not 100% sure, would need to play it a bit longer, I've only checked couple locations. Anyway, nothing that would drastically change general level of difficulty.

I always felt like humans/nonhumans hit really hard on NG+ deathmarch, whereas monsters I could survive a few mistakes. Like humans/non-humans always take over half of my health or sometimes even nearly oneshot if they are heavy weapon types, even when they are like 10-20 levels below me.

i think overall human/nonhuman effectivity was increased, they try to surround you more, its much harder to fight a group now than it was before even in normal death march.

It kinda got ridiculous now...I get it - it's NG+ and deathmarch but human mobs that are 10- levels below me can kill me with two hits while even-level drowners/other beasts have to pound me really well before killing.. Someone at CDPR overdid this a little imo.

I've noticed some differences in the human A.I. single handed sword movements. Hearts Of Stone is a lot tougher than the main game I'll give it that, probably because I'm trying to beat it using Geralts level 1 starting equipment on DM.

I'm finding myself dying more than before, all human enemies feel stronger, some categories of monsters too (died to a leshen for the first time, although the wolves played a big tole in that)

Don't think that this is new. I've been one-hit killed by grey thugs on previous versions already. This is probably due to the fact that witcher gear reduces monster damage, but not weapons damage.

I proceed with my play after i finished the main story. NOT NG+. I truly can say that on Death Match they made the fights more dynamic and harder. The jumps are more precise and the monsters leap and behavior are more accurate. For example before 1.10 when underwater it took only one shot witch the crossbow to kill a drowner, now I have to hit them three times to die. They make great improvement regarding the fights. Also the weather is different. The clouds now cast shadows over you and your armor reflects the "shine" differently according your body angle. The water physics are improved and the water now in much more clear than before. Now i can see further, Also the grass and the plans' movement are better. In general there are a lot improvement in the positive direction.
Have a nice day.

Archers are the worst enemies in a group. If he lands a shot on you say goodbye to half of your health. I always have to take them out first before anyone else.

New Game Plus Death March way to easy now.

I had played some New Game plus before, took a break and came back now with new content and 1.10

The game is just way to easy now. I am able to kill Contracts more then 10-14 levels above me that should be obvious death. And not only kill them but just stand there and let them beat on me while my health fills up. I remember before it was at least challenging.

I wish they would make it harder, or add another difficulty. It feels little weird to be able to just blow through everything without no chance of dieing. It makes me feel bad sorta like cheating, even though I am not lol.

I dunno maybe its a combination of how insanely good Heavy armour is, or alchemy, or maybe just a combination of certain skills but I don't like the idea of taking certain skills or builds just to make myself weaker so the game is more challenging.

It did get easier. I just started playing again yesterday after going on vacation for a week. The game after the patch seems easier for NG+ Deathmarch. Also I just fought Olaf and he died in 3 hits, then fought the Champion of Champions and he was defeated in like 5-6 hits. Not sure if it is because it is NG+ or the tweaks with the patch, but it seemed way easier than my previous playthroughs. I'll have to pay attention more while playing tonight to see if I notice what exactly got easier, all I know is I haven't had a near death experience yet since the patch.

Wolfs and dogs one-shot, everything else leaves you with a third of your health.

JK :)

I don't know.. but I guess in some respects Death March DOES feel more difficult, but not in a logical way. Just seems like they made stuff hit way, way harder. And some things are way out of whack.

Honestly if you are wearing heavy armour you can pretty much stand and let 10 dogs beat on you without much chance of die'ing.

Yeah I agree, always been that way for me. I haven't played much since patch 1.10 though, still waiting on the fix to hit consoles.
