How/when can i report to the emperor?! Game won't allow me to do so.

How/when can i report to the emperor?! Game won't allow me to do so.

So, i'm just got the ugly baby quest and i am supposed to report my findings to the emperor. But his room is locked. And i cannot find Yen. If i continue the ugly baby quest, there is no option to report, i'm FORCED by the quest to go directly to Kaer Morhen which the emperor doesn't like. WTF? Does anybody know how i can solve this, or am i railroaded to disobey the emperor (and Ciris father)?

Edit: I did the quest "The last wish" before finishing the Novigrad "Find Dandelion" main quest. Maybe i have to find Yen to report to the emperor, but i simply cannot find her anywhere.

Do you know where i can find Yen? I looked at her quarters at the Emperors Palace, in her Room at the Inn, and in the Inn i met her prior to the "Last Wish" quest. But she is nowhere to be found.

Okay try this, go to a signpost and try traveling to Kaer Morhen. The Emperor will not be angry with you.

Thanks but i cannot travel to Kaer Morhen. Unless i pick up Uma, which directly triggers the cutscene-journey to Kaer Morhen without the option to report to the emperor.

Yeah, the same royal guards who tell me the emperor is displeased because i went directly to Kaer Morhen without reporting. And Yen told me after the Skellige mission how important it would be to report. And i agreed. So i'd like to get to the palace without screwing up first...

Would love to know the answer to this too, before I flub up something. I responded affirmatively every time I was told about how important it is to go see the Emperoro, but received no quest, marker, invitation, etc. I even wen there almost immediately after Last Wish, but wasn't allowed to see him.

my response is just for anything searching this up now. Just got find the umma creature, after you get it from the barons sergeant you will automatically be escorted and transported to the empire without him being angry at you. Then report your findings to him. If you tell him everything you get 2000 coins
