Hungry for any scrap of information.

Hey ladies and guys,

So, I know that probalby you get this question often, but do you know when we can expect aby sort of information/updates for W3?

It worries me very much, that since last year we only received info about delay, about leaving team members, and not much else. It's almost as they have problems with quality and developement and they are trying to ease the hype around the game.

Some of you are experienced here with this stuff - can we expect any updates in April? Do we need to wait for E3 for developer to speak up ?
Recent marketing strategy and silence worries me as I was expecting the greates RPG ever ;)

Thank you and kind regards!

Worrying doesn't help you. Wait for the game to criticise the quality, when it is out. ;)
That said, I can agree, that you are curious for more news and maybe a video. But it is still such a long time. To be honest, currently I am rather thinking, that they should have waited with the news we got so far to be able to have a better news/excitement curve. It is really hard to keep giving new interesting news for such a long time and showing progress...

I wouldn't worry too much, those devs that you mentioned left after they were sure their job was done. And as for the lack of information, it'll come soon enough. I wouldn't expect too much before E3, although there's still a possibility we might get something before that, nothing substantial though.

They are obviously progressing, just look at Geralt's latest model (this is not the actual ingame model, it is just promo art):

Ingame model look really good, thanks for sharing.

I think they overestimated deadlines for delivering bits of the game and as @Mataresa said - with the miscalculated marketing, hype of the fans may die a bit, as well as interest in game by some other not connected to franchise players.

The hype and interest will 'blossom' once we get to see the demo from E3, I can already see it. :look:
Edit: I hope those who will be there get a chance to actually play the game.

No-way! This is in game?
Holy Shit Bat-Man. That is just amazing, if that is really in game.

It was a mistake to announce the game so early. They should have announced it at this year's E3.

That's an art rendering, not in-game graphics.

I'm guessing a confirmation from the REDs is in order.

To clarify, that's the in-game model and probably textures as well, but its not rendered with engine used in the game, so no that's not how it will look in the game, otherwise Saskia in TW2 would look like this:

Well models are always and I mean always rendered in very high quality and then scaled down, cutting polygons to be working within the game it all needs to fit, the environment and characters within certain constrains.

Man It's gonna be awesome when games actually look like that, damn we have some really amazing 10 years of gaming ahead of us.

I'd like some information to put my curiosity at ease, they don't want to spoil the game but there's plenty of things they can show us without spoiling anything..
I imagine that they have a sort of schedule when it comes to releasing information and I really hope that that information comes soon!

CDProjekt are stubborn when it comes to showing the game. I'd like some RED information but I can only hope that there'll be information in the upcoming months.

Leonardo Da Vinci didn't show unfinished versions of the Mona Lisa so why should they?!

As an AMD user I'm more concern about technical features of the game right now. What technologies are Nvidia-bound and what not.

I don't think there's gonna be much Nvidia bound stuff. They're mostly using Nvidia APEX and other than APEX Turbulence, everything else is not GPU bound.
Hairworks is OpenCL and not CUDA so another thing open, what else?

Nice to know, I thought Hairworks is PhysX...I may have to settle with my HD 7950 after all if that's the case. Hairworks really impressed me, I want to see a grizzly with this tech in-game :)

Hey, what's wrong with the way Saskia looks in-game!?

Jokes aside, you are right. My guess is both model and textures are in-game assets but the actual render is most likely done in Max using a fairly standard 3-point studio lighting setup. So basically, "dramatic" lighting coupled with some nice soft shadowing really makes it pop.

Any other TW2 models you have links to? Thanks.
