I am angry. Wolf Armor Related. Dev, read this.

Hi Developer
Seriously I am fking puzzled. Am I missing something? Wolf Armor basic tier is located in Kaer Morhen and its level 14. So why the fk would i waste my time to look for it when by the time I reach Kaer Morhen I am like at least 20 ? The armor set should be in Velen or Novigrad or Skellige. Anyway it should not be in KAer Fking Morhen because it just doesnt make any sense. UNLESS, Geralt is allowed to explore Kaer Morhen region at prologue.

Think it could be part of the 1.07 "fixes" ? Or much later ? I must admit I was interested in playing with the Wolf set (both for stats and aesthetics) but won't get to try it because of that. I want my set to accompany me from the first tier to the endgame, it simply does not make much sense for me to "switch" set once I arrive at Kaer Morhen and then start again with the basic Wolf set when I'll have at least an Enhanced version by that point.

I noticed this so I gave myself the first set of crafting diagrams when i hit level 10 via console commands, it's pretty silly but oh well

Wtf. People are so spoiled.

You are angry so what? Does it matter to you that this level 14 armor is a base for the best level 34 witcher gear in game? If you don't want it, don't waste your precious time. I collected mine at level 36 after finishing the game, and it's a ok.

The stuff people shove back at devs is ludicrous as the manner you state your pet peeves. This game is, as it is (without any DLC or patches) one of the highest levels of quality, I've seen. 60 hours of gameplay minimum for the same price you sometimes get 6 hours in some shitty game. And you come here because you are upset about some armor level? Seriously???

What is the problem in getting the first tire at Kaer Morhen and upgrade it if you like to use it? you dont have to wear the first tire of the armor.
I am level 24 still in skelige and i don't know when i will reach kear morhen (taking my time) i might try the wolf set and certainly will get the diagrams for the fun of it.

Also the amount of lore you encounter while collecting these diagrams about witcher past is awesome. You could do this for the stories alone

^ this is true.

I've just done it all; I deliberately forced through things to get back to Kaer Morhen as fast as I could to get the armour. I was very impresed with the content work done on these quests.

The simplest fix would be to unlock the fast travel earlier of course, maybe even as part of another quest to do so...

My opinion is simple. You want to do something, make it logical. The Wolf Set armor DLC isnt, feels like giving us for the sake of giving us. There isnt any thoughts behind it. If the location of the basic set is 14, then it shouldnt be at end game. If the set is to be at end game location, then it shouldnt be at fking lvl 14. This is like taking off my pants because i need to fart. I love this game, the whole freaking series and i have clocked 250 hours already.. within 3 weeks i bought this game. So dont say i am spoiled. I have yet to mention the countless merchant npcs which are missing or climb is sometimes not workable until you meditate etc and etc. I am living with it.

Wolf armor in Velen or Novigrad doesn't have a fucking sense.

I don't understand. You hate free stuff? As I said it is the base peice of armor that is upgradable to 34 lvl. 14 lvl to 34 lvl. Is it good for endgame to you?

My opinion is rather simple as well. This is a miniscule issue, that is not an issue to majority at all. The fact that devs are looking into something like this means, that they spend additional time and resource. Time and resource, that otherwise would be spend into the freaking huge expantions, that I personally already purchased.

I don't give a damn about some armor level and don't really understand why you do. I would rather have this awesome expantions without delay.

you need that Lvl14 armor to upgrade into higher level... you cannot get to those without it... so it really doesnt matter what level you have when you are at Kaer Morhen... if you want to have Wolf Armor, you will go looking for tier 1 armor first...

Only level 14? Clearly it's because Witchers of the Wolf school are not as skilled.

Actually, the fact that the devs are looking into it probably means that the majority of people HAVE mentioned something about this. Don't get me wrong, getting angry, like OP, over this is silly, but so is blind faith. It was most likely an oversight. They are putting out a TON of stuff here. "If you don't want it, don't get it" is bad advice too. Because the fact is, people do want it. OP wants it. Everyone just wants to be able to use every version of the armor. If the devs put the item in, then it should have sensible placement. Let us take advantage of the low level version when we are low level. Getting it just because you need it for the upgrade isn't the best way to maximize your Wolf Armor experience.

There are many EASY fixes for this that would not take time away from expansions. Simply putting them in another location would be simple enough. (I know that any time I place gear in a mod, I can then move it anywhere I'd like in 10 minutes. Doing this would be more or less the same thing.) Or maybe you "get a letter from Vesemir"
when he arrives at Kaer Morhen after White Orchard.
It could say how he ran across all this old information about the school of the Wolf, and this might help you out in your quest to find Ciri. Super simple. It could also have the map to the gear locations in it, starting the quest. Either with new locations, or along with a fast travel point to open Kaer Morhen. (Though personally, I think opening Kaer Morhen is a bad idea, since it's better for the story to not go there early on.)

The basic jist of things here is: stop getting angry. It's silly. Silly to get mad about it in the first place, and sillier still to get mad at someone for voicing an opinion. So please, this is the Witcher forums, not Skyrim. Act like the mature human beings we are and not the whiny crybaby d-bags on other games.

I just got really annoyed, because people know no merit. Even community for such game as Crysis 3 (which had bug on bug, ton of problems and totally non-responsive developers) had less demanding participants.

I really liked W2 and W3 and thought: "wow, guess i could join the community to share my experience". What i saw, when I came, was a ton of people, who DEMAND their "issues" to be adressed. Devs do this, devs do that, NOW, FAST. "I am angry","The game does not feel immersive", etc. I understood, that I do not want to be part of this group and this is probably the last thread, I am going to post in.

This forums are full of spoiled shitty people, who do not understand value of hard work. Not all of them of course, but most.

The wolf armor was a free add on why would anyone be complaining about it. I personally love the wolf armor and was wearing the master crafted version of it for the end game.

Only reason I have to complain about the Wolf Armor is that Geralt's chin clips through the collar constantly when he turns his head in cutscenes. Other than that it's, in my opinion, the best looking armor in the game.

The armour being free dlc is irrelevant in this. The placement of the first set just doesn't make sence from a gameplay perspective. The first set of wolven gear is obsolete by the time you can craft it so you have to use the enhanced set. An easy way to fix this is to just relocate the first set, or if your heavily into the lore, have vessimere gift it to you when your in Kier Morhen.

Because of the reasons listed in my post. And because of the clipping collar. (Hopefully Redkit will let me fix the collar.) It's like... say I get a free haircut, but they shave off a big nick in the middle. I have a right to go "Um, there's a big nick in the middle of my head. Any way we can fix that?" But not the right to go, "I'm ANGRY! HEY BARBER: FIX THIS NOW OR I HATE YOU FOREVER! AND HERE'S A BUNCH OF NONSENSE! LOUD NOISE!"

People forget: the reason we all love CDPR is because they listen to their fans. They actually consider what we have to say. They want to make the best product they can, not just rush out a half-done piece of garbage like most game companies these days. But this is NOT license to act like an idiot.

The chin clipping can be kind of annoying thats my only complaint as well. As for the placement of the armor the first set is weak for the level you're at when you acquire it but that doesn't mean you have to craft the first set and wear it. I didn't start crafting it till I had the enhanced version which was better than my enhanced feline armor I was wearing at the time.
