I am SO impressed !!!!

I don't know if it was because I was starting to get dissapointed by almost every game I played over the past 4 years or so, or that the disappointment came from companies that "used" to do awesome stuff but just don't anymore.. but I had basically given up on hoping for this kind of game to come out one day, and even as I followed it's development, it was kinda the same old same old promises you always get from devs and marketing etc.

Not The Witcher 3; OMFG did you guys deliver. There is really no way that I could list all the things that impress me about the game so I won't even try, or maybe, just a few generalities without going in huge detail :

immersion (this game is the most immersive game I've ever played, from Planescape torment, to Crysis / CoD Fps games or Bethesda, I've played a ton, and none even come close).

the realism -obviously a world with dragons and ghosts isn't realistic, but it IS coherent, it could be real, and it's easy to believe

the freedom - I won't start on this cause that'll be another wall of text

the acting - you can tell a lot of these NPCs are not just the devs reading some paper in the coffee room while a technician records their voice, these are proper actors, and all the body movements that go with it are extremely well done

the size - again, I won't get into this :xD

And I'll stop there even though I could easily add another 20 things.

See the thing with a game like this is, it's so damn amazingly good in so many ways, that it makes you (or at least me) not even see, notice, or remember the bad things, kind of like when in love you don't see the flaws you know? There's so many good things about it I'll easily forgive anything bad I run into..

Bottom line is though, I am totally impressed, you didn't make a game, you made a work of art, it's not just the result of x office hours a week, it's probably the result of over time late at night and maybe even weekends or working from home too, you can almost feel or see it in every detail, it's anything but generic.

If I had 10 or more million bucks, I'd invest it all in this company without thinking twice cause guys, this is exactly what gamers all over the world have been waiting for for so long, and the success which (I'll bet) you will have will not only influence you and the gamers, but the rest of the industry too, cause that is, what some people call, setting the standard.

well done!

PS. I've NEVER seen player made reviews (on steam) say

"best RPG ever"

"I never played such a good RPG"

it goes ON and ON and ON, check it out ! Päges and pages of user reviews :D

AAA has been sucking some major donkey ass for years, and Indie been picking up the slack, so.. it is a welcome sight to see at least a few studios, CDPR included, at least show the world what AAA is supposed to be. (Minus the bugs and frame issues)

Seriously though, AAA has sucked ass for years. Literally, sucking ass. Major, massive, humungous ass.

~30 hours into, and I'm very pleased. I found that even the things I've been worrying about (for example the overused & easy witcher senses, the alchemy system) don't bother me at all. It's all different when you see the whole picture yourself. This game just hits the sweet spot for me (I'm not too hardcore, but I wouldn't say I'm a casual gamer either).

hah I actually had the same worries and felt the same way, of course there are always (probably quite a lot) of things that aren't "perfect", but love makes you blind doesn't it?

Like for example, what's the big deal about a pass to enter a town with miles of refugees trying to get in when you can simply swim into it? :xD

Me too. A real game with details you cannot find elsewhere. I mean, I was sailing up a coastline once and came across some drunken pirates sitting around their fire on an island. One of the pirates got up, went over to the water's edge and started peeing. He eventually stopped, stumbled back and sat down.

So the problem now is, when will any other game follow this one? I hope they release the RedKit for modders because this game deserves a rich mod community building new stuff for us to do.
