I dismantled my warrior leather jacket...

So judging from the material i need to make a wolven armor, the best looking armor in the game, i absolutely have no way to get this armor right? Is there anyway I can make this armor without kaer morhen armor?

You don't need the Kaer Morhen armor to make the Wolf armor. It's the same process as the other armors, with a blank white shirt plus the other materials.

For somehow i thought wolven armor always needed warrior leather jacket as a pre-req material. I just checked and you don't need it... thanks for assuring me haha. I was thinking that if i should start over the save file which i put in 40ish hours already haha

The Kaer Morhen armor is, IMO, one of the best looking armors in the entire game. It's unfortunate that it's such a low level armor and thus you likely won't wear it for very look. I always keep it in my inventory even when I'm way above its level just because I like to put it on and sport it around town sometimes.

I always thought it looked terrible, I hated it since the first trailers and really didn't liked how it was present on any promotional material about the game (as I didn't like the "shaved sides + ponytail" haircut used in many trailers).

I never could stand how it looked like some sort of "medieval ninja suit" and I liked even less how it made Geralt look weirdly proportioned (waist-to-shoulders ratio etc).

But then again I'm apparently the striking minority about this. Everyone else seems to think it's "super cool", so I can see where you come from.

N ot a matter of "hate it" or find it "cool". I really never like it but... you know.. I'm a poor sentimental woman.... I cannot throw it away so easily :p

Thanks goodness, I was starting to think I was the only one.
I spent every crown I had to get the Temerian set, just so that I could dump Kaer Morhen quickly.

You know the funny thing about the Kaer Morhen is when Geralt is talking to the Dwarven Smith about armour, he's practically describing that very armour. Light, flexible, protects in the right areas and can be gotten and out of on his own. Then CDPR make it the lowest ranking armour in the game with no upgrades. Well done.

My favorite armor for Geralt is the superior Wolf armor.

Kaer Morhen armor is indeed good looking armor, but if you look up close and detail, it is nothing but a thin chainmail armor plus some leather on it. It is weak against human heavy blade and even weaker versus monster claws or fangs.
The real armor of course either heavy mail or the witcher's sets.

This doesn't help anybody playing on PS4 or XBO, but... If you have the developer console enabled, and enter the command "additem('Autogen Armor')", a Kaer Morhen Armor is added to your inventory with an armor rating appropriate for your level. Same with pants, boots, and gloves. Still not as good as the Witcher gear sets, but if you just like the look of it you can wear it all the time without being super squishy.

Kaer Morhen armor is just...horrible.
But I still miss a simply leather black jacket without any kind of metal or chainmail.

I miss Raven's armor and the Vran / Elder Blood set. Best looking gear across all three games IMO.

Most armor pieces in Witcher 3 that are not part of a set look pretty terrible actually. Like Shiadhal's Armor or the Thyssen one, they've decent stats but just look like something you're average poor fucking infantry would use. Not really fit for a Witcher.

It's the chain shoulderpads. They look horrible and compromise the rest of the armor. With decent shoulderpads would have been pretty cool.

In my next playthrough I think I'm going to mix and match a bit with the armor sets.

Probably a lot of griffin gear since I like signs but I don't think I'll use the Griffin chestplate, it's just too shiny when mastercrafted.
