I know maybe my graphic card is not too supported this game but, at least give me a better FPS between 25-35.and not 9-25 with Very Very Very ultra Low setting( with tweak performance and any other Overcloak Program)

I have already spent 10 hours trying to fixed this low graphic performance issue but no clue and not been solved, I played Mass effect 3,Dragon age 1 and 2,and all latest game with this Mac ( low to medium graphic setting) Without like this witcher 2 poor performance issue. I think there is the problem with the program, this game would be the best game ever if Not having like these nasty Issue.

if anyone could help me with this please help me XD.. I really want to play this game. please T_T

Here's your problem. Your laptop is simply too weak. Below the minimum reqs of the game. The CPU might be enough but the GPU is really weak.

but I have 4 Gb ram, i5 processor, and dedicated Vga memory upto 1GB ( GT 330 M nVIdia)

that should be okay with low setting, I play mass effect 3 on Medium and it runs smoothly with 25- 30 FPS...

so is there any program that fix this issue?

hmmm okay if that is the problem ,so the minimum adaptor for Nvidia is GTX series then, okay I got that, Maybe this game has lots of graphical requirement. thanks anyway for Helping me

Nope. Nvidia 8800GT is the min req for the game and it's still faster than your GT330. It's even faster than a GT530. If you want to play the game in high/maxed out settings with a good FPS, then you need a fast GTX series card.

XD yes it seems like, But I played mass effect 3, ES V Skyrim, dragon age series, kingdom of amalur: reckoning without any problem with medium settings, but IDK why this the witcher 2 seems to be very heavy with this MAC. damn apple XD shouldd a buy alienware instead of this bloody MAC.

Yes, you was able to play them because those games was designed for consoles and consoles have even weaker GPU than you ;). Yeah, Macs doesn't have the best price/quality ratio for gaming :p.

I've tried to play games on an imac with and i7 core and some radeon hdxx graphics card and its almost impossible. Mac's aren't built for gaming, they're mostly for producing music, videos, photoshop etc.

Maybe because all those games you played look mediocre unlike The Witcher 2 which is a graphical powerhouse. One of the best looking games ever made.

My advice is, build yourself a gaming PC. You won't regret it ;)

A powerful GPU is quite important for good performance in any game.

Skyrim for some reason loves CPU over GPU. Mass Effect runs on the Unreal Engine which has never been resouce heavy and KoA well idk.

Witcher 2 loves a great GPU you can notice this when you can check your GPU's performance it's a proper PC game and dude come on you don't buy a Mac if you wanna actually play modern games.

There is no reason to condemn the OP's Mac.

OP, your GPU is below minimum spec, but not fatally so. The game has been made to work on worse. It should play the game at some setting.

First try this combination: Disable fullscreen, resolution 1280x720, low settings.

If that succeeds, you can try increasing the settings to medium, or going full screen at 1280x720.

Im sorry but this advice is very wrong. He should never disable fullscreen. If u go windowed mode u put ur GPU in a very bad place where it needs to render the game plus the MACs UI and the CPU is not happy as well. It is never good to play in windowed mode, puts more stress on them. He should lower the ress but stay in fullsceen, that way he will get max priority to the game.

The only real fps gain here is texture downscale. Put that to high. But game will look very bad. Also see if Vsync is disabled. U can also mby tamper with the .ini files but im very out of the way witcher 2 stuff is made, iv been away for so long so i can't help u with more in-depth tweaking. I hope u get to play the witcher. If not the case, just start planing an upgrade. GT330m is a very bad gpu. (compared to todays market). U are talking about games that it can run such as ME. There is no comparison with the witcher 2 which is a pc exclusive and the rest are just ports of an 6 year old play boxes...

Mine runs on high setting on an AMD6550M on my laptop. Also GT540M, GT555M on Nvidia side for laptops can run it very well, but GT330M....its not games fault.

With all due respect, I will not retract my advice.

This game is anomalous. It DEFINITELY plays better windowed than full screen, especially if your screen resolution is not a small-number ratio to 1920x1080, such as 1280x720. The reason for this is not understood, but the phenomenon is so well known that it has allowed many to get the game working on sub-minimum GPUs.

The 330M is somewhat superior to the desktop 8600GT and 9500GT, which are known to run the game when set up in this manner. If you have no experience in setting up the game to work on sub-minimum GPUs, you should gain some before pooh-poohing known successful methods.

I wasn't aware of that anomaly xD, since like i said, i was away so that "known problem" is not in my book. I have experience in setting up a lot of things, was just trying to help, so i don't need you to tell me what i should gain, but thanks. It's my right to post. And all i can say now is, ok i wasn't aware of this particular games problem so he should scratch my advice to stay in full screen because you know its actually working better in windowed. That's what a forum is for right ? People post and exchange there toughts, someonce can make a mistake, no need to be disrespectful.

I agree that playing in window mode puts a lot of stress but it works! I can run high settings with only 2GB RAM.

Total amount of system memory 2.00 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series - graphics memory 1791 MB
AMD Phenom(tm) X4 840 3.20GHz

Try it window mode.

Solved!! finally i have 30- 45 stable fps rate... with Lots of tweak and Overcloak utilities, but i must set the resolution down to 800X600 which is very bad for me T_T,was trying to running in windowed screen but still giving low FPs, thats why just turn the resolution down, but its okay. I just need the story inside the game, graphical quality i can get it anytime if I think I really want to, at least my FPS is stable. thx for the advice and supports...

cheers
