I just willfully dismantled mastercrafted armor.... ?

In his travels across Velen and Skellige, Geralt was constantly clad by a faithful set of armor, his Wolven witcher armor. One day, in the city of Toussaint, he came across a armosmith who was unusually talented, an armorsmith who could make Grandmastercrafted armor. Geralt spent many days gathering the crowns and the materials, and finally had his new armor crafted. Once the armor was complete, Geralt realized that he now had TWO suits of armor. His mastercrafted armor, the suit he had spent a lifetime building, was now completely useless. It had been replaced. "Got no use for you any more.. Melt it down for the metal." the witcher said. He undressed himself in the middle of the armor shop, tossed the chain mail up onto the counter, and ordered the smith to tear his precious armor apart for materials. Donning his new mail vest, he went on his way. RIP mastercrafted armor.

A good Witcher with magic skills always has a good Quen shield on the fingertips of his magic hand...
And because of that a Witcher can dress however he likes it and his life does not depend on the most strongest and most ultrapowerful superheavy armors, but he can wear what looks good and is comfortable and fits the weather conditions - for example the Level 1 Feline armor on hot summer days.

I have never dismantled or sold any Witcher gear armor so far, I even have re-crafted Level 1 or Level 2 armors (Wolf, Cat, Ursine) to have them again wearable in the stash because I missed them so much. :D

And I am glad all Witcher gears look light and stylish (and not walking-tank-like) because Geralt is a fast assassin and swordfighter, and always dresses light.
Even the new Level 5 Grandmaster armors on all the Witcher sets look light and great and keep Geralt agile and fast.

Strangely the grandmaster wolven set is the only set that doesn't require the mastercrafted pieces. I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that wolven armor is DLC content, albeit free DLC, but who knows.

Upon taking off the mastercrafted wolven armor, Geralt found monogrammed letters d.L.C. on the inner side of the liner.
Confused by its meaning, he decided to consult the armor specialist.
''Tis acronym for "de Loup Couture", 'the armorer answered, ' a special brand for the famous Comte Dévrig Pasteur Rogier, a designer dedicated his life to witcher gear styling.'
