I am more curious how many developers were working on this and what the hell they were doing for 8 years.
I saw another forum that said that because a new generation of consoles is coming out CDPR was kinda forced to release the game now in an attempt to still make sales on the last-gen consoles. Sad to think they had to release this game clearly too early so they wouldn't lose money on the development. I think this game needed another year of development. I am hoping updates and DLC give this game another breath of life it deserves.
The meme of "It's 2020" was until this game released something I refused to take part in despite it all because even though it may not appear that way sometimes considering some of my posts, I truly am a positive person who does my absolute best to find the silver lining and the light of hope. This game broke me on resisting that meme though.

Well, last gen has always been the only consoles the game was being developed for. It never was being developed for Series X or PS5. CDPR said after release they'd work on an upgrade/update for the next-gen systems to be release some time in 2021. I with you saying the game needed another year. It'll probably take another year for everything to be ironed out and for the next-gen update to be released. But the sad thing is, it's such a hollow shell of what was promised and so much is missing that they could never fix THAT aspect of it without basically remaking the game, and that will never happen, so a refund is looking like the only option for me.
