To all the developers of this game and the team in charge of bringing out the Enhanced Edition.....thank you very much for all your hard work. This is a wonderful game and a great experience. Indeed there are a few bugs that should be addressed and it may seem that we are on you guys to get them fixed, but in reality we ALL appreciate your hard work and efforts and most of us are very thankful. We only wish that other game developers were are generous and professional as you all.Thank you for a job well done. Speaking for myself, you now have a long term customer and fan.

I think those SUCK...with big S, those won´t allow player to gain any levels and ONLY character modification is at the beginnning of the questmod.bullshit. better that they would just have made new quests INSIDE original game.RPG without any level progession is nothing but hack and slash.my opinion..

I had enough of the witcher. The game is just to unstable for me.On patch 1.3, I would experience a crash every 30 min or so. I wen to the forums looking for answers and found an incredible list of weird things to try, things that should have absolutly no effect on the stability of a game (like a firewall), but yet, seemed to affect this one game only. I tried them all. Nothing worked.Even though, the promise of a new patch was around the corner, and I keep playing, going to maniac-depressive-like cycles of enjoing the game (when it worked) to cursing everything CD PRoject did when it crashes. And it crashed. A lot. Even though, I could see this was a good game, and I stuck with it until I finished.Months latter, no new patch appeared, but a major overhaul of the game. the Extended and Improved edition. Moved by the way CD Project decided to give this major upgrade for free, I go the web and install it. No easy task, since the installer keep crashing and asking me to re-register my game time and time again, testing my patience. But thinking that once this I've gone through this bump I would finally see those annoying 30min freezes disappear, I stick to my guns, tried several things on the forums, and finally manage to install the game. Only to find those 30 min crashes have been replaced by 5 min crashes! How much information about this can I find in the forums? very little. No one has been able to fix this problem. and there are NO answer from anyone in CD Project on the forums. Absolutely no prospect of having a new patch that will fix the game and make it playable. No more. I'm not having anything else to do with this game. I'm uninstalling it, and even though I had fun when playing version 1.3, and that I can see how great the witcher could have been, it is, by far, the most buggy piece of software I have ever seen. I regret to say I wont be buying any more games form CD Project, but the general experience has been far more painful than rewarding.

This is the most rediculous game I have ever bought - it's the 'enhanced edition' but I still have to download a 1 GB patch!!!! Okay, I try the official site and, after stumbling through websites in Polish only, I finally figure out that it will take an eternity to download - well, I persevere and find a site that will give me 'only' a couple HOURS download time so I download last night. Okay, ready to play! NOT SO FAST!!!! I have to now download the English Package - well, I give it a shot on the OFFICIAL CITE and, after waiting 20 minutes, the GD thing times out. What the HELL could possibly be 'enhanced' about a program so JACKED!!!CRAP.Removed spam repetition.

Beautiful game, great fun, addictive and it's already causing problems with the missus. (She's Polish, and I try and justify playing this game, because of it's polish origins but she won't listen!)Thanks guys, looking forward to your future projects.

@1JOHN1 You take into consideration that this patch isn't a plain patch that fixes major and minor bugs but also contains many new changes, that's why it's bigger than a normal-sized patch. The first day(s) it was a bit exhausting and you needed patience to get eveything downloaded. So why not try the game now once again... the gameplay has nothing to go with the time-consuming download.

What's your system specs? I mean, I've read some bug reports on these forums that have been pretty rough, but problems like yours I've never heard of. Sad that it ruins your fun with this game, it's really one of the best. But, on a side note, concluding that The Witcher is incredibly buggy based solely on your own experience with the game may a conclusion drawn a little too fast :)

I love the game. I hate the work to play it. I hate waiting around for a solution to the awesome blurriness after conversations/cutscenes bug.

Had no end of problems, with The Witcher crashing / freezing on 1.3 patch until I installed the latest beta drivers from Nvidia (177.92). These drivers seem to be the ones we have been waiting for from Nvidia for some time, many people on the internet complaining of crashing freezing problems with all games.I am now running v.1.4 with no problems, but I can't say if that is due to the new EE patch as I installed the new drivers prior to installing 1.4 EEIf you are having gaming problems. and have an 8000 series Nvidia card go get these drivers, you won't be sorry.

Loved the game in version 1.3 but am a little disappointed about the 1.4 patch.Geralt´s voice is too deep, some doings are left out .And there is a big bug:The plants are not marked with names -after reading the books concerning them!-so you can not get them.

Love it: Rpg, the characters, the numerous quests, the dirty deeds haha.Hate it: dialogue options are exactly what you say...hate that, linear paths. not a big deal with me, but I do like open worlds. Im still In Vizima and I didnt read through the 55 pages of BS so Im sure I will post again

Completely Awesome .Although it have some bad points (like the slightly annoying combat system..i would much rather to have a free system where i can block and attack freely..)This is probably the best game i've played on the last few years, One thing i relally liked in it is the fact there no censore .Most 2005-2008 games have cencore in the game..which takes off the realisem greatly and destroys the fun played have in the game (yes , including crysis ..that thing made crysis ALOT less fun for me..it just..didnt felt like i kill people..they just dropped..i couldent see where i hit them..i couldent see anything)The Vast City , The fun Side Quests and Interesting Charecters .I'd Like to add one last thing , i usally Download games . and the copy i corrently play with is a Downloaded Copy. But , After playing this game for few hours , i've orderd it .Why i download games usually? , Since i got Dissapointed from each game and regretted buying it each time ..until i had enough and started to Download (Without sharing ..^^ )Which caused me to get even more Dissapointed since No game , no matter which company made me want to play it over (Well..beside some of Blizz games..but i buy Blizz games ..and Rockstar...)You guy's Should keep making games like this , Dont go Mainstream make them like you wish to see them .Respect .(now..back to Withcer- EE )

Sorry, gotta vote Hate It because there are only two options. Has many more bugs than 1.3 did, one of which is an absolute show-stopper that will probably force me to restart (after getting halfway through the game, this is inexcusable).'til 1.4.1 comes out and is properly play tested, I'm reverting to 1.3, a version that actually works.

I have to say, LOVE IT :) ;D I have the first issue and recently downloaded the enhanced edition. AWESOME! Enjoyed the game both times and now it seems as a new game. Even though the bugs caused more than a few reloads, it is all worth it.Thank you to all the folks who made and fixed the Witcher! I hope to find a copy of any of Sapkowski's books soon. I know they are out there but the english language ones seem to be in short supply. If it is as good as this game, And I am sure it is better, I shall have a very good read indeed ..........Thanks again....... Robert
