I had enough of the witcher. The game is just to unstable for me.On patch 1.3, I would experience a crash every 30 min or so. I wen to the forums looking for answers and found an incredible list of weird things to try, things that should have absolutly no effect on the stability of a game (like a firewall), but yet, seemed to affect this one game only. I tried them all. Nothing worked.Even though, the promise of a new patch was around the corner, and I keep playing, going to maniac-depressive-like cycles of enjoing the game (when it worked) to cursing everything CD PRoject did when it crashes. And it crashed. A lot. Even though, I could see this was a good game, and I stuck with it until I finished.Months latter, no new patch appeared, but a major overhaul of the game. the Extended and Improved edition. Moved by the way CD Project decided to give this major upgrade for free, I go the web and install it. No easy task, since the installer keep crashing and asking me to re-register my game time and time again, testing my patience. But thinking that once this I've gone through this bump I would finally see those annoying 30min freezes disappear, I stick to my guns, tried several things on the forums, and finally manage to install the game. Only to find those 30 min crashes have been replaced by 5 min crashes! How much information about this can I find in the forums? very little. No one has been able to fix this problem. and there are NO answer from anyone in CD Project on the forums. Absolutely no prospect of having a new patch that will fix the game and make it playable. No more. I'm not having anything else to do with this game. I'm uninstalling it, and even though I had fun when playing version 1.3, and that I can see how great the witcher could have been, it is, by far, the most buggy piece of software I have ever seen. I regret to say I wont be buying any more games form CD Project, but the general experience has been far more painful than rewarding.
