Ah, just finished the game (EE) and i'm filled with a mixture of strange feelings. I just want to say, congratulations to CDProjectRED for making this and thanks! I could not find a single mechanic or story-direction to moan about. The occaisional bug, the odd difficult fight (which i'm glad to say were never impossible, just needing the right mixture of potions and tactics) but it was all a highly polished epic. It took me about the time it might to read a decent-sized novel, and there was no laziness to be found in repetitive or recycled environments (apart from the crypts though they were all so interesting besides that that doesn't count - whether they advanced the story or were part of a unique quest...) and the quests were all spectacularly interesting!I could ramble on all night, so i'll just list things :3- great character development- teriffic "consequence" mechanic.- pitch-perfect voice-acting, only movies might take it any steps higher.- really great combat system, huge variety of attacks and always exciting to use.- brilliant setting, and well done for pulling it off too.- spectacular storyline (out of interest, was it written by Sapkowski or someone else?)- amazing graphics and superb animations - Geralt's flashy fighting techniques are a thrill to watch on their own.- VERY well balanced game - I played it on the hard difficulty, and there was no point that I felt I was too high/low level, or had too much/little gold.A real gem of a game. I can't wait to see what you guys mince Geralt through next, but I already found everything I would look for in an RPG (or indeed a fantasy story) in the Witcher. Bravo! And try gently nudging those translators to get a few more Witcher novels out and about for me if you get the chance.
