I miss Granny... .

Whatever happened to her, anyhow? She just disappeared. No comment from Shani, either.I miss her greeting everytime I entered the house: "Hello, precious! Go on upstairs!"

Granny is one of the most interesting characters of the game. If you haven't experienced her other sides, you'll see them in your other playthroughs if there would be any. Also, Granny is back in Wraiths of the Quiet Hamlet adventure. Well, she isn't the same Granny but she is impressive xD

I know, I remember that from back when she kept kicking me out of the house. I don't remember how I ended up making friends with her, but I did, at some point, and from then on it was always, "Hello, precious!"

One time she told me she was cold at night... so then I started carrying a shawl around with me, in case she brought it up again; she never did.But... yeah, I think it was the cat, I think I did give her money for the cat. That was probably what made her like me.

Another way of defeating Granny:
I once got so angry. I think it was my first playthrough. I told her to drop dead and she did xD Isn't that crazy? Devs have an interesting sense of humor :D She must have had a heart attack. After that I felt sorry for her but she was gone

Heh... Noticed that myself:
I thought I'd try out the dialog option, and was shocked and saddened when she just dropped dead. I was like, What've I just done? After that I spent a little time walking in and out of Shani's house just to see if she'd noticed (hard to miss a dead landlady, one would think, especially if it's your own grandmother), and had anything to say about it, as she did about the dead people in the hospital. ("Say... you wouldn't happen to have had anything to do with that, would you?" "Umm... well... yes?") I was disappointed, though, to find she didn't have anything to say about it, as if she simply didn't care one way or another, or for some reason, somehow, just didn't even notice. Honestly: she should've had something to say about it... .Then, finally I reloaded. I couldn't leave her dead, after all. I mean, I liked Granny . . . even if Shani didn't.
EDIT:Hey! My 1st sword! (Look to the left.) Whee! Then again, it's probably a sign I'm posting too much... .

Yet another way of defeating Granny XD
Once she told me :"You should be ashamed! Old and white haired and still chasing skirts!" I replied something like "No, you should be ashamed, old, white haired and a pain in the ass!" and she let me through. LOL

One more way of getting on Grannys good side when she mentions being cold at night a bottle of temerian rye works too i know cheap alcohol like beer and wine won`t cut it,tried that .I think it`s the only time i ever gave away potion making alcohol other than the party quest

There is still one more way to make her happy :) but this one is tough... hardcore I'd say ;)
Go to Thaler and make him drunk. That's hard. When he has enough he'll give you a book./Even bigger spoiler ahead!/Go with that book to shoeblack/bootblack near Raymond's house and give it to him. He'll be surprised you recognized him - he's a character from books - and will give you a Ring of Prophet Lebioda.Next time you visit Granny show her the ring and enjoy :)

I saw this thread and I laughed out loud.I had such a fit with her kicking me out of shani's house
After the party at shani's and getting her card; I made sure to go and speak with Granny. She wasn't happy at all. But I smoothed things over by telling her "I couldn't if I wanted to". Not explaining any further that Geralt meant child bearing and not sex period. lol
