Iconic weapon upgrade bug

When i try to upgrade this iconic weapon with the yellow icon by crafting, It doesn't remove the lower tier one. And when i try to put them in stash it doesn't show up in the inventory either. I can't disassemble the item with the icon too. Help?

I'm having the same issue with 2 of my guns, Skippy and Overwatch, both have a small exclamation mark in the top corner of the icon and neither am I able to sell/scrap/store. sorry no screenshots
