If you could make an existing character a romance option in future DLC...

Meredith and Evelyn for sure... Rogue maybe.

I'm wondering if Evelyn ever had a different story to what we got, or rather, whether she had content cut. I'm not banking on sunshine and roses or anything, considering the setting, but I have wondered about it. Like, what if we were given the choice to take the chip to her instead of Dex, like we were originally presented with. How much would that have changed things for her, and for our relationship with her.

I would've loved for Evelyn to be the bisexual option. I found her very interesting and it made me sad to see how her story unfolds.

Defintely Lizzy Wizzy. Something about that chrome... Meredith also should be expanded upon as well as Rogue for sure. My dark horse option would be for Hanako Arasaka to more fully explored. Or maybe even Michiko Arasaka. Maybe do Danger Girl missions with her and it opens up romance options. Evelyn I was expecting to be an option but I think that is a lost cause at this point.

Yeah, it's incredibly dismal. I felt like they didn't even have the right reaction to Evelyn's end, just pushed it to the side like it was irrelevant. It bothered me for quite a while afterwards, which is why I'd love for there to be an option where V - regardless if male or female or both - could give her a different outcome, and also show her some genuine love.

I'd also really like Viktor to be an option. I always loved his rapport with female V, and how selfless and uncomplicated he was, just a totally genuine guy. I can imagine him as having something of a crush on spunky female V, but wouldn't think of making a move or admitting anything unless V pursued him. Least of all because he wouldn't be sure how it might complicate their friendship. I imagine another reason is that he probably thinks V wouldn't be into an 'old man' like him. Boy would he be wrong. lol.

I would also vote for Takemura, since he gave me many funny moments and i enjoyed that conversations over childhood, cultural differences, and most important .... good food!

I want a romance option with Judy as a male V. Throughout the gameplay when I asked her is it a date or you look good in wet suit, it was very cold reply. It shouldn't be like she is into girls that means he doesn't have estrogen for male V. Could make her bi though. She is a very interesting character and shouldnt just be available as romance option for female v.

why not? I get that Judy is interesting, but the idea would be that there are gay and straight and bi characters. You can not romance panam as a woman, even if you'd like to. That's character design. Making all NPCs bi just so nobody is disappointed? Rejections is a fact of life and it's ok if its in the game. Having more romancing options would probably help with this issue too though...

Takemura is like the father figure in the game. Rogue the mother figure (with Johnny being the uncle). The idea of romancing them feels quite strange to me but it could be interesting.

No doubt, there are so many wasted characters. No one has mentioned Sophie (I think that's her name) that you rescue in the prologue? Even baiting Lizzie's boyfriend could have been interesting.

I'm not a fan of Johnny, but that would have been really amusing and I can't lie and say I wouldn't be intrigued. XD Reminds me of the "sleep with Benny" option in New Vegas.

I wanted Takemura to be an option as well and was surprised to find out he wasn't. I'm playing the Corp lifepath, and I liked how their relationship developed. Takemura started out antagonistic but then they were able to find connection by the both of them being spat out and betrayed. Sure, it could just remain platonic but the basis for more is there. And besides, his white shirt with the collar open? Someone at CDPR knew what they were doing...

Viktor would also be a nice option. I haven't finished the game but I am in Act 3, and I'm disappointed that it seems he has no friendship quests or anything, especially when he seemed really broken up over having to tell V the news. Misty could be a bittersweet option, too.

I'm sure there were probably quite a few people who wished Misty was an option, but considering the game takes place over just a few weeks after getting the chip, and Misty is pretty broken up about Jackie, I don't think it would work without it feeling wrong. Unless that's what you meant by bittersweet - like, one-sided? Or rebound relationship? I could see that. I didn't choose it, but I noticed that V could say 'you're lovely' to Misty when she was helping V with the wheelchair in V's apartment, and pondered if my male V, when I played him, might choose that, if he had a secret crush on her or something. Not sure how she responds though. Regardless though, I do wish we could take care of Misty after Jackie's death, like, as an ongoing thing and a way to do a favor in Jackie's memory or something. Maybe talk to her a bit or be able to go out and do something fun - like take her on the rollercoaster or something.

Also, yes, Takemura and that shirt. I was think exactly the same thing when I played - that couldn't have been coincidental! You do not make a man look that good without V being able to feel something about it!

Agreed. Moreover from a gameplay perspective, having romances that are locked because the NPC is straight or gay/lesbian, adds to replayablity.

What I would like in the future is for romances to require or be more different for your life path. Judy should have different things to say to a corpo V compared to a nomad V. Perhaps a Meredith Romance is only available to a corpo V. so on and so on. This does the effect of giving you more romances, making the game have more replayablity, and making the life paths matter more.

This was such a minor character, but I got kinda intrigued by Sandra Dorsett (no, not the naked unconscious version from the first mission, but the alive and animate one from afterwards ).

Her potential romance backstory could also open some interesting paths to explore. Like her still having flashbacks/shakes or PTSD from her scavenger kidnapping (despite the wipe), her trust in V or her fight against the NightCorp etc. You also kinda bond together over her Netrunning skills if you use the intelligence dialogue option.

That or I am just massively attracted to tomboyish hackers. Even the short hair doesn't bother me at all, lol.

EDIT: Plus I am pretty sure she's based on the cyberhacker Henry Dorsett Case from Neuromancer. Who wouldn't want to bang a female version of Case (minus the drug addiction), right?
