If you didn't save Triss in Witcher 2...

...can you romance here in Witcher 3?

I'm starting a second playthrough and I want to romance Triss this time, but I didn't save her in my 2nd playthrough in Witcher 2.

What you did in The Witcher 2 unfortunately is almost forgotten in The Witcher 3.. so yes no consequences.

Thanks!
Because of the "interrogations -answers" I thought Triss would be awfully angry at tme if I didn't save her ^^

she is saved anyway (if not by you then by Letho) so it doesn't matter.

Yeah, she is saved by Letho if you don't help her. And you have a nice lil conversation with her at the and of the W2. And she will be a bit how to say... a bit cold? at the start of the W3. But not "awfully angry", no :) She is nice person and beside that love Geralt.

Yeah, I know that Letho saved her! :)
But I was worried that the option of romance her didnt trigger if you made other choices in Witcher 2.!

Thank u!

Romancing Triss are by default in TW2. Save or not, in the end you still her lover, which they parted after Geralt's memory of Yen are coming back.
If you not love Triss on TW1, CDPR force the story default that you were Triss lover in TW2, even if you pick Shani in TW1. So sorry for this not consistent like Mass Effect Story, because CDPR is the god in here.

Not only that, but I'm pretty sure wheter you declared your love /pursued her in W2 or not is absolutely forgotten by game start.

Well, realistically, she should be less than ecstatic about Geralt prioritising her lower than other things. It should have affected the tone of their relationship.

Don't save her in TW2 and let her be tortured in TW3 and you can still romance her :)

Yes she is, Triss is like Geralt's stalker. When she saw Geralt with Yen, it was the hell situation to her. Yen were her best friend and she doesn't want Ciri became uncomfortable because Ciri like Yen and Triss. So she kept her mouth shut. But when Yen missing plus Geralt had no memory over his past, especially Yen's. Triss quickly jump to Geralt arms. And hell yeah Geralt don't say no to pritty lidies !

She is a smart lass that Triss that's for sure :)
But I'm making Geralt a real jerk this 2nd playthrough. haha. Don Juan and Arrogant. So different from my 1st when I made him so wise and faithful.

In books, initially she was jealous of what Yen and Geralt had, so she seduced Geralt during a time he and Yen were broken off, and she just fell for him completely. yet,Yen is his femme fatale, Triss always knew it. and if Im remembering it right, once even Sapkowski when he wanted to give some light hearten ending to his stories and he wrote the wedding (G+Y) story, he paired Triss with Eskel. (but of course that story was written before the novel, and is full of inconsistencies)

I slaughtered dozens of Nilfgaardians and I would have slaughtered dozens more to rescue Triss in TW2. I couldn't let her get tortured in TW3. That didn't get very far but I got a satisfying line from Geralt about him saying that he couldn't let them torture her because she meant too much to him.

I adore the fact that CDPR has put more dialogs related to the outcome of TW2. I'm playing 2nd playthrough where Geralt didn't save Triss:

And when Yen at Vizima tells Geralt where Triss is, he answers something like: "I don't know how thrilled she is to meet me".
^^

Unfortunately it is the same dialog if you did save her.
