I'm still salty because of the 6 month montage

Ha, I'm over 150 hours in and still don't know some basic shit. I think that six month time frame would have made a good tutorial as well.

Each to there own, it doesn't bother me, thats not to say the characters couldn't have been done better though, theres plenty of missions in an around Watson itself that both Jackie and T Bug could easily have been involved with to setup a "bond" between them and the player before the heist without having to "live" the 6 month montage

I would rather have played in the 6 mo period mostly b/c I want to become attached to Jackie more. Plus it's barely 3-5hrs in and he's gone.

It would really lengthen the game out and offers the only real place for DLC. Considering how this game ends:

It's really hard to backtrack on a story point that literally ends in your death. Fallout 3 did the same thing with it's ridiculous story and required them to backtrack absurdly because all the Good Karma characters were now dead.

So yeah I'm hopeful that the 6 mo period will be fleshed out more.

6 month montage? Are you talking about that cutscene where it shows a bunch of random scenes of Jackie within the first 30 minutes (tops) of playing the game? I still to this day don't know how to process that garbage. To me the big heist is the tutorial.

I wish to see some kinda headhunts, as a quest and against you, as random encouters from Boss NPC's

I actualy liked the montage. And wouldn't trade it for actual missions. And I think it was a great idea. However, the prologue still lacks a few hours of gameplay as either lifepath, and it lacks a few "bonding" missions with Jackie.

IMO I think its a shame we didnt have some missions from that montage. It would be so thrilling and we would have a chance to meet Jackie better. (spoilers ahead) Second part of the game is total cancer simulator and whole time V is fighting for a cure, and game becomes very Jhonny centred....but hey what can you do

I bet the 6 month period is paid DLC content.

it makes perfect sense, being just shortly before the 'main game' so pretty much ALL the pre-made contents can be recycled .

And they can decide which quest NPCs to reuse based on player feedback from the main game.

it's even possible that Jackie becomes the main playable character in the DLC .

So yeah, first a large DLC covering the 6 months as prologue , so we get to know more about Jackie, and it's easier to make because of the reused map contents and then a second smaller DLC to the space station .

Basically think of the montage as the real act 1. Because that is where all the introductions to the secondary characters: Vik, Misty, and the fixers: Wakako, Padre, and Regina are "established". That is why we have disconnects to them. Because basically. The game goes from the teaser trailer of the pilot episode of Cyberpunk (LP introductions). To episode 3 of Cyberpunk. Normally, these would be missions in any other game.
