Immersion booboo in Imp Quest

We follow the Imp's tracks... and find a pile of odd sized mismatched clothes which apparently lead us to conclude the identity of the imposter...

Which is pretty odd. I'd have taken that as evidence that it wasn't "one of those"

Ahhhh.... the perpetual problem about clothes with shapeshifters. Something I don't think any writer has really solved.

Anyway, I assume they still get dirty, need to be washed occasionally. Even if everyone else DOES wear the same thing for months on end. I wonder how the washerwomen manage to make a living?
