Yeah, I always end up sticking with Aerondight. Even though Moon Blade is probably better, it just seemed wrong to drop it after being knighted with it.

Yep, sentimental value is too great.

Better to bring it up here than to start a new topic, perhaps.

G'valchir (Mahakaman Rune Sihil) is a sword obtained in TW1 either by completing the quest Won't Hurt a Bit and/or by choosing it as a reward for handing in all ten trophies for the trophy quests. Prior to patch 1.2, a bug prevented this weapon from being imported. After patch 1.2, it seemed to carry over into TW2 as was intended. Now for the problem:

Since version 3.0 (Enhanced Edition), they changed something in what determines whether this weapon is imported or not. Previously, only weapons that were equipped would carry over into TW2, but now, for whatever reason, this particular sword is always carried over. I don't know what has happened, but ever since EE, this sword is always in my inventory when I choose to import a TW1 save file, and it's driving me nuts. It's one thing that it ends up in my inventory, but as we all know by now, imported items and DLC items are also automatically equipped at the beginning of each prologue segment.

I wonder if this is deliberate, as the changelog for EE actually states this:
17. Mahakam Rune Sihil sword is now imported from TW1 game saves to New Game.

I read that in the changelog
( news-changelog-pt-1 ) and thought it ment that a bug had been fixed, that some were unable to import the sword even after patch 1.2

And I thought that save game imports were ment as a way for give a little headstart and some continuity for those that have TW1-save. That way importing a particular sword always doesn't make sense to me, especially when its moderately hard to get in TW1.
