Dear CD Project Red Team,

I would like to thank you for creating art piece that I truly enjoy. I am a bit broken hearted over negative comments and many unhappy players. I for once wanted to let you know I enjoy playing the game and have no stability issues other than caused by my PS4. I love the story and the looks of the game. I love the writing and I will not analyze what action made sense and which didn't. Love the game, keep fixing the little things, thank You for all the hard work and love you guys.
I have the game on PS4 and Stadia. Hope there will be sequel. ❤
Sincerely,
big fan Pete :)

Wow, what a total load of BS.

"apologizing to you for not showing the game on base last-gen consoles before it premiered"
Yea, because you knew it was a complete mess and no one would have bought that trash. You scammed us and you know it. Remeber the good old days when you bought a game and could actually play it? Thanks for my refund. The only thing you did right with this game.

I feel like I'm stepping into a bizarro world every time I enter these forums. How on earth are some of you rejoicing at this statement from CDPR and singing their praises again already? I find it alarming in its hollowness and failure to acknowledge the enormous number of issues with the game not having to do with performance and optimization. Even if this game were to be made into the smoothest-running, best-performing program ever, it'd still be rife with inexplicable and inexcusable issues such as the utterly bizarre NPC and AI car behavior, almost complete lack of interactivity with the game world, and the surprising lack of spontaneous emergent events occurring to the player while out in the open world. The longer CDPR acts as though optimization is the only major issue holding the game back, the more my faith in them will vanish, because to me that is actually not the most glaring issue with the game at all. To use a crude expression, I see optimizing this poorly-constructed game as equivalent to polishing a turd.

It is completely understandable a massive world would not be perfect right off the bat. Skyrim, fallout, no man's sky and other big titles had a massive amount of glitches. Throughout time patches and fixes solved most of the bugs. To this day, those titles still haven't been fully patched, but they are heavily played and enjoyed. Cyberpunk is just the new title who needs to grow over time.

Already been playing like 52 hours and got 0 crashes. Game running smoothly (60 -70fps) all stuff on ULTRA with RT medium, auto dlss and gsync on rtx 2070 - looks amazing. I'm not really sure whats happening on ps/xbox, console bois seem to be sooo mad.

On pc, noticed bug with cars ( disappearing right in front of you), NPC in T-pose ( didn't notice after 1.04,fixed i guess ) and that's all so far. MAX FOV can be easily fix at setting file, google it . Remember first version of RDR2 last year. I couldn't even start the game for 8 days and when i finally could, game kept crashing every 20 min, so another few weeks of waiting. Also, if i remember correctly, first version of witcher - same story, but after few updates - diamond game, for me at least. Mods keep the game fresh still playing this marvelous game, especially after rereading books, you know, polish the vibe :) .

Am just trying to enjoy story which is amazing, completely absorbs you.

All the people having issues and complaining will either be back when it gets fixed or they're not really gamers as much as they think they are: this is one of those games that you ALWAYS come back too (I'm calling it now).....the good ones...so thank you for making it..

I see your thinking, but it's not the same as the PC version just being played through the Xbox One/PS4 hardware, CDPR will have tailored those versions to suit the hardware, including scaling things back (which they have on those versions) such as graphical quality, population, traffic density, etc. If they could not get the game to run in a reasonable fashion on that hardware, it should not have been sold for that hardware, but I do not think that is the case. It has simply been released before they could optimize it properly for those platforms. Parts of the game look just fine, but they are next to other parts where it appears that the textures are very low detail. It's not the hardware struggling, my ancient Xbox One is mostly quiet as a mouse, it is the coding. They needed more time.

I agree, I don't think it should have been sold for PS4 or maybe even PS4 Pro, or all last generation consoles. Scale it back as much as possible, I don't think the GTX 750 or PS4 base can play this game in a reasonable matter, IDK.

Dear gamers,

First of all, we would like to start by apologizing to you for not showing the game on base last-gen consoles before it premiered and, in consequence, not allowing you to make a more informed decision about your purchase. We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Second, we will fix bugs and crashes, and improve the overall experience. The first round of updates has just been released and the next one is coming within the next 7 days. Expect more, as we will update frequently whenever new improvements are ready. After the holidays, we’ll continue working — we’ll release two large patches starting with Patch #1 in January. This will be followed by Patch #2 in February. Together these should fix the most prominent problems gamers are facing on last-gen consoles. We will be informing you about the contents of each patch ahead of their release. They won't make the game on last-gen look like it’s running on a high-spec PC or next-gen console, but it will be closer to that experience than it is now.

Finally, we would always like everyone who buys our games to be satisfied with their purchase. We would appreciate it if you would give us a chance, but if you are not pleased with the game on your console and don’t want to wait for updates, you can opt to refund your copy. For copies purchased digitally, please use the refund system of PSN or Xbox respectively. For boxed versions, please first try to get a refund at the store where you bought the game. Should this not be possible, please contact us at helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com and we will do our best to help you. Starting from today, you can contact us for a week up until December 21st, 2020.

Humbly

Marcin Iwiński, Adam Kiciński, Adam Badowski, Michał Nowakowski, Piotr Nielubowicz, Piotr Karwowski

P.S. PC gamers will also be getting regular updates and fixes improving the game.

The latest and greatest $1500 NVIDIA RTX 3090 can't even get 30 FPS on max settings at 4k (which isn't a bad thing, the game will beautiful for years to come), but given that to be fact, I think was overambitious trying to get the game that is so hard to run to run on GPU technology that is over half a decade old in a reasonable matter in HD. I think that's the issue. I have seen some of the textures on PS4 and they look like 480p lol!

The textures look like crap on GPUs that are over half a decade old, go figure.

Anyone looking to buy this game to play on Sony consoles, don't. It is unplayable on the PS4PRO/PS5. Crashes every hour with CE-108255-1.

Unless they promised to give us the same deep dive tools into their game that we have access to for Skyrim, fallout its not acceptable, both games had unfinished features but one provided the ability to have them fixed even if not by their own hands and while they do "support" modding its only surface level modding which just is not the same thing.

I love the game. Play on ps4. Sure there are a few things that could improve. I am a huge fan of Shadowrun/Awakened Worlds and Cyberpunk/Johnny Mnemonic. I know so much about lore and this game doesn't disappoint. As long as things keep progressing and CDPR continues to work, Im happy AF. Wish lingo such as "drek" and "chummer" were used though lol

Those refunds through the email specified, how are they being processed, and is it open worldwide?

I'm honestly still a bit torn between refunding it or not, I've preordered it,(the stupidest choice I did and will be the last time I ever did from any company)

The gameplay is nice, the story too, Graphics, yeah, even on ultra it doesn't look like it's the best honestly, I've seen better, I'm running it on a Ryzen 3700x and GTX980, and I know that the 980 is my limiting factor here, but I didn't expect to run it on low, with 3 minor options on medium, I even had to enable FidelityFX CAS on minimum resolution 80 to get it playable.

My biggest gripe with this game is the world just feels dead. For a massive living city this is a even more massive issue, I was expecting things like being able to run around the city and stumble upon drug deals, gang fights and petty robberies like in GTA. Be able to enter buildings and play the pachinko and arcade games like Yakuza Series. Hell even goin bowling and such. Distant sirens, gunshots and muffled murmurs don't make a world feel alive. Fixing the dead world and AI would go a hell of a long way.

well, looking at your bug fix history in W and the latest "hotfix" (which i would say is nearly a full patch) i think the game goes into the right direction.

it still is missing a lot of promised features though...

Maybe that's because your playing on hardware that has ONLY 8 GB of RAM that has to be shared between both the CPU and GPU?
