For the money? Also, it was developed for those platforms and, if it had been released on schedule, they were the current generation of consoles. The fact is they did, and have taken people's money for it and no amount blaming other people's choice of hardware when it is advertised as available for it changes that. Besides, apart from the fancy graphical effects that were never going to be on the old consoles (and everyone knew that), what is so advanced and "next gen" about the systems and mechanics of this game? Those are previous gen games. CP is a next gen game. I don't know why they even bothered to release it on old hardware.

Dear CD PROJECT RED
I am about to buy the game for last gen console. I hope it is not as it is said to be. I want to give you guys a chance and try the game. However I really hope that you fix the game. I count on you
THEY NEED TO FIX THE AI. GTA 3 HAS BETTER PEDESTRIAN AND POLICE AI THAN THIS GAME AND GTA 3 WAS MADE BY APROXIMATIVELY 23 PEOPLE. its depressingI was right
The CD will never disappoint its audience again. What has a good root, no storm brings down.
We are with you, CD - stay with us. Do not forget that.
Are you ever going to fix the Ai? The cars are not even smart enough to go around an object... and the police can't chase you.. people don't even fight back, they just walk. that's all they do. GTA3 did all of this better why can't cyberounk do it as well WE WOULDN'T BE MAD IF IT WAS AT LEAST ON GTA3 LEVEL BUT IS SHOULD'VE BEEN AT LEAST GTA 4 OR 5 LEVEL CD PROJECT RED CMON![]()
Dear gamers,
First of all, we would like to start by apologizing to you for not showing the game on base last-gen consoles before it premiered and, in consequence, not allowing you to make a more informed decision about your purchase. We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Second, we will fix bugs and crashes, and improve the overall experience. The first round of updates has just been released and the next one is coming within the next 7 days. Expect more, as we will update frequently whenever new improvements are ready. After the holidays, we’ll continue working — we’ll release two large patches starting with Patch #1 in January. This will be followed by Patch #2 in February. Together these should fix the most prominent problems gamers are facing on last-gen consoles. We will be informing you about the contents of each patch ahead of their release. They won't make the game on last-gen look like it’s running on a high-spec PC or next-gen console, but it will be closer to that experience than it is now.
Finally, we would always like everyone who buys our games to be satisfied with their purchase. We would appreciate it if you would give us a chance, but if you are not pleased with the game on your console and don’t want to wait for updates, you can opt to refund your copy. For copies purchased digitally, please use the refund system of PSN or Xbox respectively. For boxed versions, please first try to get a refund at the store where you bought the game. Should this not be possible, please contact us at helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com and we will do our best to help you. Starting from today, you can contact us for a week up until December 21st, 2020.
Humbly

P.S. PC gamers will also be getting regular updates and fixes improving the game.
I was going to reply to this earlier but I got sidetracked and forgot so sorry about that.So is there a planned, non-AVX compatibility patch?
Yeah. Well I noticed that some time before the release the game lost it's "RPG" tag, unfortunately and was changed to "action adventure". That was the moment I got worried (with all the delays as well). And it turned out that most of the "rpg' side of the game was scrapped. Don't get me wrong I love the game. For me it's like a Deus Ex but in a huge world, not hub, which is sooo awesome. I love it. But still.... promises were different. The problem that after the bugs are fixed it will reveal how bland the "RPG" mechanics really are
