Are they still remaining silent? Has anyone actually gotten a response from that CDPR email address? Scores of people are falling flat with their attempts at a refund. Is CDPR simply punting the football? A poor attempt at PR and damage control? Listen to their recent meeting audio. Essentially saying that it's up to those other companies and their refund policies and that it's handled like any other refund. Did they make any attempt to coordinate with these other companies?

Sounds similar to them saying that it runs "surprisingly good" on some consoles, while not allowing them to be reviewed, knowing full well they didn't. Absolutely shady. Are they saying to go ask for refunds knowing full well those companies will deny them? What about the certifications with Sony and Microsoft? Lots needs to be looked into and they need to be held accountable.

I'll certainly be sticking with you CDPR. You can't imagine even with the MINOR bugs I've experienced how lost in the city I have become. I do agree though some we could use some more features and quality of life things, but I am loving the game still.

Here's the thing; I own a high-spec PC, but purchased this title for my PS4 based on the marketing and promises made. Did I think it would be equivalent because of that marketing? No, there is no way it ever could be; a game will always look and play better on a high-spec PC, however, there are some advantages to playing games on a console. For me that advantage is sitting in my living room in a big chair with a controller in my hand instead of spending more time in front of a computer after having sat in front of one all day for work. I'm betting for the many people out there currently telecommuting and remotely learning, they may feel the same way.

This is the main reason that even though I could play the prettier, faster, version on a high-spec PC, I made the choice to buy a console version where I can sit in my living room on my PS4 and escape with a game.

Honestly, for me (in most cases) the difference between console and PC versions is not that big of a deal. Some reflections are missing here, some extra models aren't drawn there, I'm missing the ability to see a bit farther into the distance. In a single player title like this most of these things don't really matter at all in the end. Or so you'd think, that was very much not the case with this title. The quality differences are astounding! It is almost like the PC version was made by one studio and the console version is a bad port by a start up studio.

While the idea of a refund is nice, it comes with two big problems. First, refunds for video games are damn near impossible to get. Companies like SONY and Microsoft do not want to give you your money back for a digital copy and you can forget returning a hard copy that has been opened for a full refund to a retailer anywhere. Dreams that will never come true. "Help" from the studio or not. Secondly, return or wait, the game will be spoiled for console players by the internet. Any gamer out there will find it near impossible to avoid spoilers if even just trying to keep up with the status of patches and other updates. Also, either way this puts a lot of burden on the gamer who has just pretty much gotten the shaft. I would also like to point out that your contact email has a cut off date of "December 21st, 2020" what about all the players that get this game for the holidays?

IMHO the only real fix is to offer PC versions to those that purchased console copies. Give them a chance to be able to play the game they were marketed (since nothing from a console was shown in the marketing), and then perhaps when it is patched and updated be able to play they wanted and intended later on down the line on their console. Do I want to sit at my computer to play this game after sitting at one all day for work? No; but I'd rather do that than be spoiled about the game before ever being able to play it for myself after waiting years for it and being sold something I shouldn't have.

Typically, I tend to do a male playthrough first in most of games and usually I call it main playthrough since I usual try to create myself. Then on my second playthrough I tend to play a female. While I could just play fem V to get with Judy, I think it just feels kind of weird to pursue a lesbian relationship in a game when I myself am a straight male. It just makes me feel kind of dirty.

It's different when it's a game where you play as someone who is created as a lesbian character vs choosing to make your character lesbian. Makes me feel like I'm going to get judged for doing a lesbian fantasy or something like that, you know what I mean? Cause I think That Judy and V have a great romance together but the fact that I have to do it as a female just puts me in bit of situation where I fear I'll be judged and deemed a objectifying pig or something like that for doing it.

I never try to see myself in characters or people in screen maybe thats why it works for me, i just wanna see their stories, same in adult scenes, even if its first person, i can separate the protagonist and myself in view.
Two things i want only from protagonists in games and movies/series too:
1. good acting
2. don't make me vomit with the apperance, try to be look nice (both gender can be look cool, Geralt in Witcher for example)

In the emergency investor call they had, the implication is that this game will be fixed by February. Lol.

If that's the level of disconnect between ground level development and management, this game releasing In its current state makes sense.

I really dont understand all these people that are whining and being a drama queen about things that arent good instead of looking at the things that are good like the whole damn game, despite what ever unfinished things or glitches or crashes the game is fuckin awesome and i havnt played a game like this in along time, the music, the art, the story, jhonny, all those shards you find and read, the characters, the sound effects, the combat, the choices, and the graphics even tho am playing on a xbox x its all so fucking good i love it. I know the majority of players will perhaps look at it as just a game but i tell you its so much more, its a message, its the future, its the present, its the past, read between the lines some might be able to see...

After the years of waiting, watching and supporting, I have to admit I was very disappointed on day one. The performance was obviously the crux of my disappointment but what I was more hung up on was that I felt scammed. The decision to not show console footage, and even go as far as to threaten customers that got the game early not to stream, was an active decision to deceive.

This had me more annoyed than the quality of the game. Out of all the studios I'm not sure there was another studio I considered as unique and dedicated to their fan base as CDPR.

I have now forgiven them though. You don't get mass produced, Mind numbing crap with CDPR. You can always expect a gritty, hardcore experience that push every boundary to the limit, and they deliver every time. They even headbutt the crazy OVER politically correct scene and as a result produce content like no other studio would dare... Just no F's given.

The financial decisions are made by the executives, the ones more concerned with their wallets than the art. They have been made billionaire by pushing this title early and that does grind my gears a little.

The development teams shouldn't just get their bonuses but should reap the same benefits as the guys that make the money off their hard work and the bad decisions that lead to that work being unfairly underrated.

A lot of time and love went into this game and other than the crappy day one performance I've had a great time in Night City overall, the new patch has really improved the performance. My thoughts have gone from the rollercoaster

"wow, no rubbish, maybe it's ok, that looks nice, maybe not, what the hell is?"

To

"OMFG this Is F'in amazing".

I spend hours in photo mode and just gawking at the world now. It is a beautiful creation and although lacking in interactivity, people, vehicles and other immersive assets etc, the hand crafted side missions are basically detailed and rich beyond any content I've seen from a side mission. Whole stories within a story that can wrap you up in hours of gameplay.

I spent almost an entire day of gameplay with one character, after I had arrived at the insanely cool conclusion to her side story I realised that wasn't even a main objective and had no baring on my progression as a whole into the main story. The world is full of these characters and they offer a hell of a lot of content.

I can see where the time went and I'm happy to wait for optimisation to add extra immersion and I rate these guys just as much as I ever did.

As for the executives, I hope the executives have learnt a lesson and to listen to their development teams rather than their pockets because if they scam us again, there won't be a third chance.

It's basically Deus Ex v2.0 (the original from 2000).

Things in that game have come to exist now in this time. In twenty years things from CP will come to exist. This game has depth. I love games with depth.

You can play on the couch on your PC. Just move it there.

I've avoided spoilers. It's not that hard. Just stay off social media and forums. Ignore anything that could be a spoiler. Stop reading as soon as you suspect it.

CDPR is a PC dev first and foremost. They shouldn't have even bothered with a console release. Count yourselves lucky they even chose to port it.

Part of the point I was trying to make was, I would be willing to do the PC thing for this title, however... I bought the game once, I'm not buying it again to do that, and the current "refund" offer on the table is not very reasonable.

As far as "counting myself lucky" nearly half their sales were console and almost all hard copies are PlayStation 4 and Xbox One; not an easy thing to refund once opened under false marketing I might add.

Sadly a video game is not like a pair of pants. If you tell me the pants are my size and they aren't I can easily return them, with very little hassle. If the end slate of your video game commercials say - "XBOX ONE PS4 PC Stadia plays great also on XBOX Series X|S and PS5" that says to me the consumer that you made the game for those consoles the PC and ported it to next gen consoles, so may not be great there. However unlike the pants, if the game does not actually play well where it should, I am pretty much out of luck.

So I should not "count myself lucky" I should consider myself fleeced...

guys. the best you can do is keep playing and when the game is about to crash the console will ask if you would like to submit a report. the report is then sent to CDProjektRed and they will read through the game codes to isolate the bugs. complaining isn't helping anymore.

Yea it does. They are the creators. They can do whatever the hell they want. If you don't like it tough luck.

It would be the same as PC users still running a Core 2 Duo system and complaining that it runs poorly on there.

Did you complain when you had to go from PS3 to PS4?

I'm sick of console peasants complaining about a modern triple a game not running on their shitty out dated console.
No, but no game developer told me they were developing a game for the PS3 took preorders for said game and then almost a decade later said, jk....buy a PS4 if you really want it to work.

When this game was originally scheduled to release in April of this year, there weren't even any pictures of the PS5. So stop gaslighting and trying to infer that this game was intended to actually run on Next Gen systems that were barely announced

This game was announced and previewed before the PS4 or XBox One were even released. I understand development delays, but that still doesn't excuse that the basic game engine wasn't optimized for these platforms.

Like I said, if they had decided that this game would not be able to perform adequately on this generation of console, then they should have been forthright and said so, and allowed people to cancel their sale prior to release. Simply say, "Sorry guys, can't get it to work to our standards....We're dropping it for PS4 and Xbox One, but it will look amazing on PS5 and Series X, See you in 2021...." Then release the PC version alone. That I can at least respect.

But no. They instead had a near media blackout about the state of the console version and then later, after they were exposed gave a half hearted "our bad" apology followed by the disclaimer that says we're going to patch it....but.....well, you know, it's not going to look all that good.....But you can jump through hoops and try to get a refund with MS or Sony.

And your comment about "console peasants" simply reinforces my complaint about elitists. Thank you for that.

4-8 years development (and for those saying, "it was only at E3 in 2013", bro it would have taken them time to build what they demonstrated at that event) and the project team missed the character model shadow completely, or just didn't have enough time. I mean, it doesn't even show the shadow of my hair. Also no reflections of character models? For something marketed as high-detail, this is some detail that is hard to overlook.

While there is much I like about the game, it has clearly been rushed out the door, and upper management have absolutely failed miserably. This isn't just unacceptable for the consumers, it is unacceptable for your staff!!!

CDPR Management have brought this mess onto their own devs/project team. They did an outstanding job with this game, but they were not given enough time. And people wonder why consumers hate corporations

My only question is (I'm stuck making 10 posts because I'm new) if they will fix the crashing mid-battle on console. Other than that while yeah there are other complaints they have been addressed by other people on here.

A big glitch I'm having on PC is the character jumping out of stealth while I have crouch toggled. It happens over certain surfaces or interactions with objects and people. I had a line on the ground force me to lurch at a guy I was trying to kill from behind multiple times, constantly reloading the same save.

It's also bad to have double tapping the directional buttons cause the character to jump while crouching, since fast taps are important for being careful.

Oh, and then there's the saves where you are toggled as crouched. You load uncrouched and alert any and everything looking at you.

If CD Project red is short on game testers (they shouldn't be unless they are so cheap they want to ruin their good reputation) I'd be down for some opportunity to help and possibly learn from the experience as a player. Just give us a clear means of contributing the bugs we find.
