Of the over 8 million presale copies, it would be interesting to see the breakdown per platform

Out of the 8 million presales about 41% were console sales. Thats a huge amount compared to older titles. Not sure about further breakdowns.. I saw it on:

www.google.com

Cyberpunk 2077 sold 8 Million Units in total, 4.72m on PC, 3.28m on Console

Shortly after Blizzard announced that WoW: Shadowlands is the best-performing video game in terms of sales, with 3.7 million copies sold at day one,

please, everything went smoothly for me. until I have reached a specific mission (which I do not name to avoid spoilers). but the immortal enemies have destroyed the game. I haven't played cyberpunk for 5 days, because there is no solution except through a patch. this bug is very serious because it is a fundamental part of the game and many are waiting for the patch because few can get on with the story. please answer me if you understand which bug I am referring to and if you are working on it

I dont se the problem with the game, it has a lot of content and the main mission is amazing, i have around 50 hours at the game and yeah got some bugs, but its minor bugs like T pose or characters crusing walls, but not big deal, its a big open world game we cant be waiting to get a open world game with out bugs...., another thing is they could just dealy the game, but some idiots could not wait and started sending shi* to cd project red team....

Before I forget one last thing on the topic of romances. After we get more romance options in the game, can we also have some of them be lifepath specific as previously promised? It would make the lifepaths mean much more than just a different prolouge and a few extra dialogue choices. Having certain options being reserved for certain life paths would give people more incentive to play a certain lifepath. I don't think all of the romances need to be lifepath specific, but a decent amount of them should be imo.

For example, Panam should only be romanced by Nomad. Judy should be romancable by Street Kid and possibly Nomad but have it that she completely denies you if you are a Corpo. Meredith should only go after Corpo, though I think hers was a bit dissapointing and should have a little more to it, considering how much she was shown before the game launched. That'd be awesome because right now, the lifepaths are kind of pointless at the moment besides the occasional dialogue option and the different opening.

Don't worry about it.
PC, 1080Ti here and no major issues.
Small, funny bugs here and there but nothing game breaking.
Need to save and load the game once a while due to memory leaks.
Showing in form of missing items like traffic and npcs, textures on the map, like roads and such.
Like, you can't drive from one end of the map, to the other without memory issues.
No complaints from here, just looking forward to the next patch and maybe a little bit of content?

A) Cyberpunk SMT/Multithreading Enable for AMD processors

I. Use this AMD SMT fix mod (latest version v0.2.1) https://github.com/yamashi/AmdCyberpunkPatch/releases
Unzip the content of Release.zip in bin/x64/

or

II. a. Open Cyberpunk2077.exe (v1.04) with an hex editor
b. Search for this hex value: 75 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08
c. Replace that value with: EB 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08
d. Also, you can try to use this one: 74 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08
c. Save the modifications

B) Unlock Cyberpunk 2077 memory pool budget

a. make a copy of your memory_pool_budgets.csv before editing it!
b. locate it in: -game_path-\engine\config\memory_pool_budgets.csv
c. edit PoolCPU & PoolGPU as fallow:
PoolCPU: Use half of what your RAM is, make sure to leave 4GB for windows tho
PoolGPU: Google your graphics card on google and see how much VRAM it has. EVGA 1080Ti has 11 GB, so I am entering 11GB
d. run the game as Administrator

Hi!

I used these two solutions as reported by two users in Reddit, and it worked!

The first one, as explained by the author and contributing users in the post (Reddit), is correct to use the EB starting string.
The second one, I set the pools at 12GB CPU and 8GB GPU.

I'm on a Ryzen 5 3600x with 16GB of RAM and a RTX 2080 SUPER, without touching anything the performances were inconsitent. I could have got 60FPS in a place, and after 5 minutes, the same place at 20FPS...

Now with both workarounds, at 1440p all maxed out, RT at Medium and DLSS at Performace, it's another story. I use Vsync on a 49" TV so I don't know when I go over 60FPS, but the game is always smooth and looks amazing.

Many things needs to be fixed, not only the correct use of sys resources, but the game is offering a good experience now for me. Anyway, the feeling that I'm playing something unfinished is always in the air...

cheers

[EDIT] And no crashes so far, after 5 hours of play...

Im really enjoying CP on my PC to the max. Its story, visuals and gameplay are superb, IMO. And when you stop playing you keep thinking about Nightcity and its characters. So good job there.

But after seeing the console versions, this update doesn't cut it. Any play tester would have raised their hands and said wait its not playable as is. This is frustrating because i want all gamers to enjoy the game like i do. Its a shame bad word of mouth will travel and many people will not give it a 2nd chance. This is why im disappointed. Obviously a lot of love and work went into the game. So i feel for the many people over at CDPR who worked their butts off but had no control over this.

Its going to be very interesting when some kind of postmortem will come out. Taking your company public doesnt always pay off. Investor pressure and such. It would have been easy to delay the console versions and still release just the PC. The reviews would have been a lot better and people would have still anticipated it for their console. Gamers always moan about delays but in the end when the game is good they still buy it...

Good luck fixing these versions. But i think the damage is done. PC gamers are a lot more forgiving IMO but console players not so much.

It's unfortunate that people can't understand that a game like this is extremely difficult to make perfect on the first try. I HIGHLY applaud the creators and developers and anyone who had anything to do with brining this game forward. I absolutely love it. I fully understand that it will take time to grow it into the perfection that I know it can become. Games take a while to make. They just do. That's how it is and if you expect it do be different, you'll be disappointed.

I agree but have you seen the console versions? They are not playable. There is a difference.

It is but i like to point out; To me the PC version, lives up to the hype. I have played 40 hours and had ONE crash. One T pose bug and a few visual glitches like floating items. Maybe im one of the few lucky ones but if you rock a next gen GPU, CP2077 def is a masterpiece. The prologue alone is better than most games. IMO

If you have a boxed version, you need to contact the store where you bought it from to begin with. How long ago did you send this email?

THIS! you may be getting a bit (or too much) hate but most of that comes from a place of ignorance and/or corporative fanatism (which kinda suits the plot) but the truth is that, despite new younger and unexperienced gamers being a noisy majority (which is natural) theres lots of us who know what reputation means as a concept and nothing more is needed to explain why we support CDPR. You have never dissapointed us and there is no reason to believe thas is going to be the case now!
Im (obviously) playing now and... wow.
thanks for night city, V, Jackie and every line of code that allows my LAPTOP (msi gs65) to run all that flawlessly.
PS: a hug to the guy who directed the game's localization, TOP NOTCH WORK!

The game is cool and all but I can't get into it when the flow of everything turns to absolute crap because the aim is so bad. Actually, it's not just bad aim. Literally looking around feels like crap on my ps4 pro.

I'm an avid FPS player so I notice anything little and no it's not like I can't kill anything. I'm not having trouble completing the game but the bad aim makes me want to stop playing because it's so noticeable and frustrating just to shoot.

I agree with what you say, i'm also frustrated with V's ability to pick things up, you can have two or three items close to each other that you can pick up, but lets say, if a gun was beside them and that is all you want you can't zero in on it because the prompt insists you have to pick up the items just to the side [or outside] your peripheral view even if you don't want them. And don't get me started on the amount of collectable items scattered around that you can't collect/pick up because the prompt refuses to show

I've been playing games [PC and consoles] for over 40yrs, so i'm not a younger or inexperienced gamer, like many, many others, and i [we] do not come from a place of ignorance or inexperience, CDPR made promises and fed the hype for this game and what they delivered was in no way what they promised. I don't know what makes me more angry/dismayed, devs who take people's hard earned money [some gamers have had to save for months to purchase a single AAA game] only to deliver broken promises or people who try and defend the corps buy trying to justify the serious problems and cut scenes/options.
Most people who are complaining are doing so because of the bugs, who for some make the game unplayable but also for the amount of stuff that the dev's said would make the game ahead of it's time but have cut out, in other words, ALL gamers are not getting what they paid for or expected.
As for those gamers who can't play the game due to bug/glitches, they paid for a game they want to play now, not in 1, 2 or 3 months when the next patch comes out, i said it before, it's like going out and buying a car only to be told you can't drive it for the first 2 or 3 months until the engine arrives. And for most gamers that is what they are saying will happen until they get the next patches out which are not due until January and February which many would say was unacceptable. I understand these things take time but come on, you expect to be able to at least drive the car home once you have bought it.
CDPR have had over 5yrs to polish this game, they said it would be revolutionary yet it is just like any other RPG [i use RPG lightly] Fallout 4, Witcher 2 & 3 even the GTA have better visual then this game and have a more vibrant and cluttered environment. Although nearly all new releases suffer with bugs or glitches but releasing a game with this many and having so much cut out is beyond bad.

Dear gamers,

First of all, we would like to start by apologizing to you for not showing the game on base last-gen consoles before it premiered and, in consequence, not allowing you to make a more informed decision about your purchase. We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Second, we will fix bugs and crashes, and improve the overall experience. The first round of updates has just been released and the next one is coming within the next 7 days. Expect more, as we will update frequently whenever new improvements are ready. After the holidays, we’ll continue working — we’ll release two large patches starting with Patch #1 in January. This will be followed by Patch #2 in February. Together these should fix the most prominent problems gamers are facing on last-gen consoles. We will be informing you about the contents of each patch ahead of their release. They won't make the game on last-gen look like it’s running on a high-spec PC or next-gen console, but it will be closer to that experience than it is now.

Finally, we would always like everyone who buys our games to be satisfied with their purchase. We would appreciate it if you would give us a chance, but if you are not pleased with the game on your console and don’t want to wait for updates, you can opt to refund your copy. For copies purchased digitally, please use the refund system of PSN or Xbox respectively. For boxed versions, please first try to get a refund at the store where you bought the game. Should this not be possible, please contact us at helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com and we will do our best to help you. Starting from today, you can contact us for a week up until December 21st, 2020.

Humbly

Marcin Iwiński, Adam Kiciński, Adam Badowski, Michał Nowakowski, Piotr Nielubowicz, Piotr Karwowski

P.S. PC gamers will also be getting regular updates and fixes improving the game.
