I don't know how well NCDOT works, but it is in America, so we know that the trains probably won't be working anytime soon.

This part seems really disingenuous statement to make.

I am a bit miffed about this line, nextgen consoles released 1/2 months ago, this game was to be released in April 2020. The entire development cycle of this game has been when PS4 and Xbox One were current and never during nextgen console releases.

If the nextgen consoles were not released when this game came out, then it would have been WAY worse.

Dear gamers,

First of all, we would like to start by apologizing to you for not showing the game on base last-gen consoles before it premiered and, in consequence, not allowing you to make a more informed decision about your purchase. We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Second, we will fix bugs and crashes, and improve the overall experience. The first round of updates has just been released and the next one is coming within the next 7 days. Expect more, as we will update frequently whenever new improvements are ready. After the holidays, we’ll continue working — we’ll release two large patches starting with Patch #1 in January. This will be followed by Patch #2 in February. Together these should fix the most prominent problems gamers are facing on last-gen consoles. We will be informing you about the contents of each patch ahead of their release. They won't make the game on last-gen look like it’s running on a high-spec PC or next-gen console, but it will be closer to that experience than it is now.

Finally, we would always like everyone who buys our games to be satisfied with their purchase. We would appreciate it if you would give us a chance, but if you are not pleased with the game on your console and don’t want to wait for updates, you can opt to refund your copy. For copies purchased digitally, please use the refund system of PSN or Xbox respectively. For boxed versions, please first try to get a refund at the store where you bought the game. Should this not be possible, please contact us at helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com and we will do our best to help you. Starting from today, you can contact us for a week up until December 21st, 2020.

P.S. PC gamers will also be getting regular updates and fixes improving the game.

I'm not very critical. Enjoying the game as is. Your hard work in this game is plain to see. I understand there'll be hiccups. Keep up the great work guys, looking forward to the improvements! Happy Holidays! In the meantime, I'm going to keep chasing those eddies.

I appreciate the acknowledgement about the very poor state of the game and I am happy to be patient IF improvements will be actually made, not just promised to keep me dangling by a thread, as I really do want to enjoy the game. The quoted comment annoyed me though, as I was never expecting it to look like it was running on a high-spec PC or next-gen console, I expected it to look like it was running on my Xbox One, not my old Xbox 360 as some of the textures would lead me to believe. Blaming the hardware that you chose to develop and sell the game for is not a valid excuse, particularly when what has been delivered in terms of the open-world lacks much of the complexity that was discussed in development and many other games on the Xbox One and PS4 that could be considered equally, if not more, complex in their own ways look and run far better.

Hi!

Can you please estimate which patch will implement this:

"We’ve greatly enhanced our crowd and community system to create the most believable city in any open world game to date"

As that will implement all the proper NPC AI and variety, police, city interactivity, non disappearing cards, proper driving AI (the roundabouts are just a joke) etc and escalate the game to greatness!

Any ideas?

Bugs can be fixed, but that's only a tiny part of the problem.
How can you fix a broken engine without rewriting half of it at least?
I mean, most of these issues are clearly a result of a flawed engine: objects falling through floors, NPCs walking through walls, spawning randomly right in front of you, cars clipping one into each other, flying randomly into the sky...
How can you fix AI that doesn't exist in the first place?
NPCs and enemies are absolutely braindead. They all do the same thing, all have the same reactions to any situation and their movement is a copy-paste, even crippled in wheelchairs can just stand up and run away... 1000 unique NPCs, each with his own life? Don't make us laugh. Traffic getting jammed infinitely and no one even cares, they just stare into the void like puppets. Police AI that doesn't exist, hell I don't even see police vehicles on the streets, at least nothing that's non-scripted. Everything is just decor, lifeless, and feels like a low-grade Unity game, only with good graphics.
How can you fix broken promises? Blatantly lying in your promotional content about what you can do in the game? Even the level of customization is outdated to a pathetic level. Even in F2P MMORPGs you can customize your character much more in-depth than here, here you just pick a preset for each body part and you're stuck like that for the rest of the game.
This is not a mishap, this is plainly incompetence, the fact is that you were never equipped to handle a game as complex as this was supposed to be, your engine is simplistic and anything non-scripted is beyond its capability. But the marketing... was top-notch, well played.

Don't do that. Use 5.5Gb or your GPU will swap in your RAM/Swap in the VRAM by deleting currents assets/whatever.
Make room for what you want to affich, on top on what you affich, or you'll have freezing spikes (vcard will be in WAIT, unloading/loading). Not even sure 50% is okay.

It's unfortunate that people can't understand that a game like this is extremely difficult to make perfect on the first try. I HIGHLY applaud the creators and developers and anyone who had anything to do with brining this game forward. I absolutely love it. I fully understand that it will take time to grow it into the perfection that I know it can become. Games take a while to make. They just do. That's how it is and if you expect it do be different, you'll be disappointed.

Plenty of people swallowing the cool aid with that statement.

What a crock of shit. They knew what they were doing. They knew what they had to release. Still released it and now say oh sorry please forgive us in 2 months we may have a playable version on console. All the talk about crunch in my opinion they didn't crunch enough. Or are just incompetent at their job. Management is another matter.

I have thrown A$90 away I will put up with that. But I won't forget and won't swallow this shallow attempt at a apology.

Maybe cause i'm older I can see bullshit from a mile away, and this is bullshit.

Problem is, you're not supposed to take a full AAA price for a "first try". There are early access programs, beta testing programs, whatever. This game is barely half-baked. Even FarCry 5 has far better AI that this, and FC5 is quite a buggy game.

Well first of all is nice to see an apology. That is a start.
Now I'm going to level with you guys, I'm kind off still pissed off about this whole thing. The fact that you guys did hide the last-gen console performance and even knew how it worked on PS4/Xbox is a very shady behavior. Behavior that I expect from EA, Ubisoft and even Bethesda, but not from you. Which makes it even worst.
I'm sorry but I can't let such a thing simply slide. You guys knew very well the state of the things, which is why like I said before you hid it from us. This is unexcusable, and no amount of apology can take that away. To be honest with you, I now know, I also have to keep an eye on what you do, and specially at what you say. I'm really sorry I do, but like you guys know, "It takes 20 years to build a reputation, and 5 minutes to destroy it."
I believe that in this case what could make the things a little better would be a thorough explanation:

"Why did you hide the performance issues on last-gen generations? (explanation)"
"Did you thought that we were not going to realize such a thing?"
"If we want to get a refund, you do realize that we don't even get the chance to use the game properly before you fix it after the refund policy from Sony for example (14 days refund)? Which leads to the conclusion, and of course I can certainly think of it, the game came out the 10th of December, where you knew very well there is no way you could fix it before the holidays. Which leave us on a very difficult position of having to wait even 2 full Months for a product which might or might not be working in february."
I believe that like I said before an apology is not enough, a good way to maybe make it better would be that all preoders or first day orders get the first DLC absolutely free of charge. And I'm not talking about some BS jacket or a weapon, I'm talking a DLC size expansion. If anyone would like to add questions or something like that, please do.

I'm still getting my head around this, so I might need a couple of hours/days to come down.

Kind regards,

S.
