Right, and what are you as citizens going to do about it if you suspect that your own authorities aren't playing a fair game with you? Will you let them keep all of you 140+ million people under their boot forever? Nobody but you can only change this. Regimes fall under pressure of normal people, that collectively oppose.
There is a lot of policemans and soldiers that got very good conditions to live. All they need is to save Putin's lifestyle. And don't forget about propaganda. People who knew the truth - learned it from the internet, mostly. Most of them is too young to fight efficiently against government or to civil war

I think that you could watch on TV the attempts of various people to demonstrate their resentment of the authorities. What does it give? Legal ways are useless. Arrange a peaceful demonstration - also does not make sense. And if you are hinting at a civil war, then I would advise you to think about your adequacy.

It is still possible, Ukraine of 2014 proved that. But yet again, everyone within Russia chose to do nothing.

This is just not going to have any positive effect on anyone. Blackmailing people into active opposition against their government is not only symbolically wrong, it's going to end up alienating targeted population. Sanctions such as this are not even going to graze the directly responsible people. Absolutely irrational and flatout wrong decision.

It's not. Russia is now shutting down independent media and is going to restrict internet access to make sure people aren't getting information on what is really happening. That shows that they are still afraid from their regular citizens.

This would be a fair and balanced decision if any country who participates in a illegal war was given the same treatment but they are clearly not and never will be. Everyone hopes for the day when hatred and wars end but decisions like this only breeds more hate and divides people. Donate to charities that help war torn countries like ukraine or raise awareness about the Ukraine war but never discriminate.

All their decision will achieve is to make normal everyday people in them countries feel even more hated, alienated and discriminated against for something they have no control over and can do nothing about. Discriminating against people based on their nationality alone only further divides people, it's xenophobic, breeds hatred and the opposite of showing solidarity. Solidarity Is bringing people together.

The Russian people are powerless to stop putin and the majority are against this war. Thousands are protesting there despite the massive risk to themselves. At best they will be beaten at worst tortured, thrown in a cell for years or even killed. Despite this they are demonised as all being part of the problem or not doing enough.

Just because someone shows support for the average Russian civilian doesn't mean they don't understand what is happening or the consequences of what's happening. I've donated and supported the Ukrainian civilians as much as I could given that I'm half the world away. I'm simply against blaming the average Russian civilian for their dictator's actions. This war/invasion/conflict is not on them and CDPR's actions, and many others', feel like they're placing the blame at their feet and punishing them simply for being born on Russian soil and not being willing to throw away their lives to stop the war in Ukraine. That part feels wrong to me.

Unfortunately, this thread has devolved into mostly personal attacks and skirmishes, as well as general hostility and disrespect towards other people.

Several in-thread reminders were posted by us, but it did not work.

Therefore, the thread is now closed, at least temporarily. Thank you to those of you who participated in a civil and topical manner, without breaking the forum rules.

PS. Just in case, I will add that trying to start new threads on the topic is not allowed. Please do not try. We tried to allow discussion on the topic, with this thread, but it failed -- and for that reason it will not be allowed in other threads either.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

PURCHASING AND INSTALLING

Can I purchase the games by CD PROJEKT RED on digital platforms?

On March 3rd we have halted any sales of our games to Russia or Belarus until further notice. Thus purchasing any games by CD PROJEKT RED on any digital platform is not possible at the moment for players located in Russia or Belarus.

Can I purchase the box version of the games in offline and online stores?
Following our statement about halting sales of our games to Russia or Belarus, we have ceased physical stock deliveries to those markets. At the same time some stores may still have unsold stock of box versions of CD PROJEKT RED games delivered earlier and they still may be selling this stock. No additional deliveries of stock are planned until further notice.

I purchased a digital version of the game before the suspension of sales on March 3rd. Can I install and play it?
Yes, you can. The decision to halt any sales of our games to Russia or Belarus does not impact the installation process for previously purchased CD PROJEKT RED games.
The only exception is reinstalling GWENT: The Witcher Card Game.

I have a box version of the game. Can I install and play it?
Yes, you can. Please remember that the box PC version of the game contains a GOG redeem code — to redeem it you need to have a GOG account.

I have an unused redeem code for CD PROJEKT RED game. Can I redeem it?
If you have an unused redeem code for the game, you can redeem it and play the game.
Please note that redeeming of the code from the boxed PC version of Cyberpunk 2077 requires a GOG.com account.
To redeem a code from the boxed PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt expansions (Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine), a player needs either to have a GOG.com account or to exchange the GOG.com code for a Steam or Origin one. Please visit this page for more details: thewitcher.com/exchange
