Importing an incomplete save (The Great Escape, TW2 spoilers)
When I began my current playthrough, I imported a TW2 save that wasn't actually from the end of the game; I had just arrived in Loc Muinne when I last saved and then stopped playing. I'd previously lost all my saves to a fried SSD and when I imported, I'd actually forgotten that this wasn't a complete playthrough, but it was all I had anyway, and the game let me do it, so I figured why not.
Now here's the problem - obviously at this point in the game the decisions whether to save Sile or let her die and whether to fight Letho or walk away aren't made, and it seems like TW3 now has a problem with these. I don't know what's supposed to happen with Letho in TW3, but I just did the "Great Escape" quest, and after I saved Margarita in the witch hunters' dungeon, the game unlocked Sile's character entry even though I hadn't encountered her. The text says something that seems to imply Geralt runs into her in the dungeon and kills her to spare her further torture, but this didn't actually happen, I just got the character profile.
I'm guessing what this means is importing an incomplete save has caused a bug. I really think it a fix needs to be made so that you can't do this anymore and only import from the end of the game.
