In game screenshots ae all black

When I take screen shots while playing they are all black, just a solid black screen, any advise on solving this would be appreciated, I have tried many "add-on" screensshot programs as well as just the standard "Prt Scr" Windows default and the same results, I am using Vista Business, if this has anyhting to do with it, whcih it seems it does for anything developing wise, Vista just sucks for any developement work, I cannot even compile Source SDK anymore. Darn M$! grr ]:->

ATI HD 4650 512MB All drivers are up to date. I downloaded FRAPS, again, this seems to work, so it must be a problem in Vista.Thanks, I will have a look at the other thread link and read it as well, but oh Gods! Tell me I don't have to go through the install/uninstall/update process again, No way!

No i dont think you will but, first, Vista has its own tool for screeshot (cant recall the name but i can find it) so yeah, it could really your problem. but, if you have conflicting driver files, when you change your driver, if you dont follow the procedure in the post i gave you, you have over 75% chances that you are suffering or will at one point, suffer from it. Your video card performances could be reduced too

Ok thanks, I downloaded FRAPS and that works fine, so I am not going to worry about Vista and ist's usual BS, I am going to find a way to get some hardware that will still run on XP and go back to that, Vista just will not work for me for developing work and costs,

Give it a couple months and Windows 7 will be out, since my return online i did a lot of search and from what i have seen, even it does look a lot like Vista, it cant be compared to it.... I have seen some test that surprise many.... windows 7 runs games faster than vista (anything can run game faster than vista, even my mechanic alarm clock) but it is also faster than XP. Remember that there are no drivers made for W7 and, it is still in beta stage... Really close to RC 1 tho.Come back for anything else... i am getting back on the forum full time and you will be surprised to what i will put up and offer
