In Honor of The Witcher 3's release, are you going to "fast" closer to release ?

What I mean is,to prepare yourself mentally for TW3, are you going to pause gaming as we draw closer ?

I usually do that when I highly anticipate a game.I stop engaging new games and just be fully focused on what's coming up ahead.
IMO it makes a huge difference for SPECIAL games like this.

After watching the recent footage,I know for sure I am doing that a week or two before TW3.Its the game made of dreams.
Do you do this for any highly anticipated games ? are you doing this for TW3 ?

I think the chance is pretty high that I won't play anything else intensively at the time since there is no bigger game announced so far for the same period IIRC ;)

I will, but not by choice. I'll be busy studying for my exams,

On the bright side I'll have weeks of spare time to enjoy it afterwards, stress free.

I have to wait till join to play it since I will be in Thailand for a school trip. So I won't be playing any games for 8 weeks anyway.

I will finish Dragon Age before (more than 50H and i feel like i'm still far from the end), then Dying Light in coop. No games for me on March and April, lot of work :/

I'll be anticipating like crazy, but it won't stop me playing other games while I wait.

One thing I'll make sure to do is to savor my first play through and really take my time. When I first played W2 I kind of rushed through it until I finally realized I was playing a masterpiece. I'll only ever have one first play through so I'm going to make it count this time.

I'll finish up whatever games I'm currently playing in the days before release in order to have a clean slate when it comes out. There's not much out between now and then so it will most likely just be replays of older games any way.

Good idea about sticking to replays, so that it's easier to drop them when TW3 does come out.

Meh. I got so much else to play, I probably won't even get around to the Witcher until early June or so. Give them time to fix bugs.

My exams are finished 4 days before the release of The Witcher 3.

During which time I shall be hibernating, kudos go to @Kinley for teaching me to build a Bear den.

:)

Witcher 2 and Mass Effect 3 were the last games I played... I tried dragon age Inquisition since I liked the first one but thankfully EA has this satisfaction return policy which I used.... I really am pumped to get a game worth my while again... its been so long .... I can finally finish my witcher movie series on youtube:)... awesome times ahead indeed....

For me, The Witcher 3 is a deeply religious experience not unlike going on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. So I will probably fast from food for for three weeks before playing. Three and seven are both Biblical numbers for perfection, so I think three weeks is the perfect number of days to go without eating.

EDIT: Uhh... in case this doesn't come across in translation, yes I am joking. I'm just being... very... dry.

Please... do not fast for a week in honor of our greatest game. A 32-year old man just died playing a game straight for 3 days. Instead, you should feast and drink in honor of the third coming.

Oh wait, may be op meant fEast, but missed the e... ;)

I'll be re-reading the books and replaying Witcher 1 & 2 immediately beforehand. May will be entirely dedicated to The Witcher.

Before that there's really only Hotline Miami 2 & GTAV PC and presumably I'll have both of those well wrapped up by the end of April... I won't be avoiding any big releases to "fast", but luckily everything kind of lines up this year and there's nothing happening around The Witcher 3's release anyway.

Mostly I'll just be pushing through my backlog between now & May. I've currently got one about 100 games deep that I intend to get mostly complete by the end of the year, so I can't take any gaming breaks this year.

I'll start replaying W1-2 in a few days. Then I plan to fill the last 2 months with Pillars of Eternity and maybe GTAV pc.

I think I might replay TW2. I don't usually play games that much anymore. There are some other games I intend to play a bit before TW3
