Increased Loading Screens After 1.05

After this patch i noticed a big amount of increase in loading screens.

When loading a save it takes at least 10-20 seconds more now. Before the 1.05 patch i was able to finish the loading before Dandelion finishes it's speech while loading, now i'm waiting for like extra 10 sec after he finishes

Also when fast traveling it was taking 3-4 seconds before but now it takes up to 10 seconds.

And occasionaly when starting a dialogue with some NPC's it stucks in blurred screen and tries to load it for a couple of seconds too. It never happened before this patch, the dialogues were starting immediately.

These were the bugs i noticed and annoyed me in my playthrough so i thought i report them here. Hope you guys fix it in the next patch.

Edit: Not related with the title but also pop-in is still continues. I don't know about the cities for now but in the wilderness at some camps people were like popping in front of me 2 meters away, and not just 1 people it was 4-5 people repeatedly, it was really immersion breaking. I hope you're aware of this problem too.

have you tried starting a new game? might be a save game issue only. maybe not. just saying. some thing have gone wrong in savefiles in some cases it seems.

as for the pop-in issue, that varies by hardware. it's existed ever since the dawn of time as far as i can remember.

I noticed this as well. It loaded just as fast in White Orchard but way longer in Velen.

No increased loading time here. I suppose it would be helpfull if u guys post ur Rigs and maybe even Graphic Settings.
I have a pretty old Rig with x4 955 BE Cpu and HD 7950 with SSD running most stuff on medium to high and there's no change in Loading times.
10-20 secs mosty.

My game freezes in the loadingscreen, no chance to continue playing. this is since patch 1.05. My taskmanager says inactiv. I can wait for 10 min without happening anything.

(Sorry for my bad english)

Can't say I experience the same but then again I always skip the art loading screen by pressing Space.

No issues with loading here. White Orchard loads in as little as three seconds on my machine (Samsung 850 Pro), and Velen takes about 10 seconds.

Hmm, well I had zero loading issues with the 1.05 but then again I just recently started playing the game so I only just last night before I quit finished the first main quest and saved and quit right after I fast traveled to the second area in the game (Valen?). Loading games if I died or fast traveling anywhere took me about two seconds.

I'm on GoG and I had the same problem after 1.05 patch like you guys. Loading screen time increased from 2 to 3 times in some places like Velen or novigrad. I think the problem might come from a MOD I installed (E3FX) that caused those long loading screen because it wasn't updated according to the new 1.05 patch. I just deleted all files related to the mod and did a clean with GoG and It WORKED !!! I don't have long loading screens anymore. Hope it'll help you guys out

I have this exact problem as well. It started after the 1.05 update. I noticed it first in 'The Plays The Thing' mission. The screen blurs whilst loading mid-mission or mid -conversation. Even happens now when I am just running round Novigrad. I have a beast PC with i7 cpu, 2 x gtx780ti SLI, 1tb dedicated SSD for game installations. Running windows 7 64bit and installed the game through GOG Galaxy. I'm using the latest nvidia drivers. Never had any issue like this before 1.05.

I did notice that after 1.05 sweetfx no longer functioned. I will remove the sweetfx files to see if that makes a difference.

let me bet u playin with an xbox controller, or im wrong?

Some People have Thoughts about CDPR did some Buisness with M$ and Sony to blame PC-Gamers with Mouse and KB and force them to switch to Consoles/Controller, if they make them angry this Way. Don't think so, but who knows?

When i load a savegame the first 30-40 sec the HD does nothing at all (can be seen by LED for HD activity), after that Time the HD began to work and loadin Files to Memory.

Some goes very, very strange at all with patch 1.05...

PS
As far as the E3FX Mod goes, when i delete the Files nothing changed on loading Times so i don't think thats the source of the Error.

Like I said I'm not entirely sure that the source of the problem is E3FX. What I did exactly was going to the folder that contains the witcher 3 executable file (the same folder where you copy E3FX files normally). Then I deleted all files with same date as the date I installed the MOD because I didn't remember all file names involved. I recall maybe deleting files not related to E3FX ( like XINPUT1_3.dll for exemple), unfortunately I didn't keep the names of the deleted files. Then I simply used GOG clean up tool (you can find it in the "MORE" dropdown next to "PLAY" Button On GOG Galaxy) wich re-downloaded missing files. So maybe re-downloading some file fixed the problem I can't be sure.

We already found the likely culprit on GOG forums.

http://www.gog.com/forum/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt/long_load_times_in_105_fixed_with_controller_on/page1

Basicly, if you have a gamepad connected, turn it on or uninstall it completely.
My regular Logitech Wingman Extreme Joystick didn't make a difference, turning on my PS3 gamepad solved it.
