[INFO] Steam game saves for The Witcher 2 not importable
This quick info is for those who DO have a Witcher 2 game save from Steam but The Witcher Wild Hunt cannot see it.
You know this problem when attempting to import the game save during the main menu after you select show tutorials. If it says ''Simulate Witcher 2 Save'' with the ONLY options being ON, OFF and BACK then you have a problem. If you KNOW you have a Witcher 2 game save ready, perhaps you finished the game last night or the week before, but for whatever reason, the third game cannot see it - then there are one of two problems.
1. Your game saves from Witcher 2 are not in the expected place, which is very easily fixed. Instead of flogging the already decomposing horse and writing a guide on how to solve that, just visit this link to fix it.

2. However, if you copy of the Witcher 2 does see them, but The Witcher Wild Hunt does not, you could have what is called ''Steam Sync'' active. It is a function of Steam to sync your save games with their cloud storage. The following is where those game saves are stored. Simply copy the contents to the above location and you should end up with one more option in the third game that states ''IMPORT WITCHER 2 GAME SAVE'' as well as the three others.
