Who.....
Cares....
About....
THIS............

I say, wait till the game is released THEN play the game AFTER THAT compare it if you want.

I would rather play the game and decide myself about how it is, instead of letting someone who I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT to tell me that it has been downgraded.

You know how it feels? It feels like hindering technology development because the most common popular systems can't run it...
We know humanity is very much about developing technology and I will give an example of say cars.
Is it worth hindering the development of cars by years and wait with adding super awesome additions for safety/less consumption of oil and such because it is expensive and only a few will be able to afford it? Thus having to wait years until this technology is affordable by enough people to make it profitable?
Feels to me like the same thing to be honest... Technology advancement is halted hindered because people want money first then everything else... :/

. Remember CDPR is not some giant like Ubisoft, and they do not have the resources of Bioware being backed by EA. If TW3 is a major success and GoG grows, they will reach new heights. And imagine what they will be able to accomplish when they become a powerhouse like EAware or Bethesda. When they are already slowly beating them on their own turf.

If they aren't, then why do themselves put what they have done into the garbage to replace it with lower quality versions?

Sounds about right.

Tbh, it was obvious that it was coming the moment the decision to get in bed with console market and then in cahoots with M$ was made. Consoles taint and corrupt everything they touch. We see the dawn of a new Bioware. What a disgrace. What a shame. Shame on you, CDPRoject.Shame on you. You forgot WHO made you the company you are now. But we won't.

Your post seems a bit extreme... But I agree with you on one part. Consoles ruin former PC developers. Bioware and Crytek being just two examples.

a lot of these supposed downgrades look like improvements to me. again, different from original =/= worse.

but some discrepancies are definitely there. things like npc density, but explanations exist for those as well. time of day effecting npc routine, story related events, etc.

more proof is needed

I care, because I don't need to play the game to know how it looks and see the constant lies, because there is a thing called PICTURES and VIDEOS which show EXACTLY how it looks. There is no reason to wait. I already warned everyone, and do you know what people did? They waited, and now there is no going back, and there is a HUGE downgrade.

If you actually read my post you would have answered your own question, hell, read the actual OP of this thread which makes this very same point. It is precisely because they DO NOT have the budget of Ubisoft or EA to be able to develop a game based on different technologies for PC and Consoles. And as I said, perhaps when they do become that big they will be able to do that in the future. At the moment they are matching those huge powerhouses with much lower budgets and manpower.

Jesus Christ people, do you even live in the real world?

If that's what you feel about it then why do you want to push your own OPINION of the GAME to US.

And 1 last thing, in the case that you dont know about OR dont care to learn about it.

Any video showing Witcher 3 should be expected to have WORSE quality than the ACTUAL game, the main reason being is that any video you make for a game ALWAYS get COMPRESSED thus SHOWING YOU lower quality from the actual one.

Now for Pictures, I myself have no idea how it works but I believe that it works similarly to the videos.

They have more than enough money, CDPR is HUGE. They can perfectly make a full PC version and then change the settings for consoles. They already had the assets and the effects. Why do you ignore this?

Here is your proof. Yeah you will say PS4 isn't PC, that's right.
Those demo pics from 35 min are of high quality as been told back in the day, and PS4 has been told many times that it's the equivalent to PC high or very close to it. It shouldn't look THAT much different then yet it does...

Because it's dishonest (assuming OP is true). Pre-orders were up once the Sword of Destiny trailer was released and the game doesn't come near that quality, let alone the VGX trailer. Not even the E3 2014 demos.

Many people pre-ordered and on PC forums it was one of the main games people were upgrading or buying new PC's for. Now we only get a mediocre looking game with hairworks eating FPS away. Me I'm still gonna take my CE, but I'm gonna wait on a new PC, how it looks ULTRA, with SweetFX or HBAO.

Yes they are so HUUUGEEE, they made 2 games. After the first one they almost went bankrupt. Sound like a huge powerhouse corporation to me. Also they had SOME assets, in other words they could have developed them further, but that would result in them having to make 2 versions, which would be impossible to do with their budgets.

I don't give any opinions, I show reality. Video compression only causes artifacts, which aren't what people talk about. Can you point where people are complaining about artifacts? There is nothing you can say, just "compression, I guess", but compression is nothing. Compression doens't change asseets, or vegetation density, or draw distance, or lack of models, or anything.

Ok guys, I belive a word of clarification is required. These are just rumors, and as we've said before we don't comment on such. Secondly you have to remember that our game is a big release - a lot of people have been anticipating it and quite a few would like to gain some publicity from it even when it means talking about things which are not true. Wild Hunt comes out in a few days and you will be able to find out for yourself if the game is up to your standards. We believe so - we've worked really hard for 3 years to deliver you best possible experience - we love The Witcher as much as you do. To conlude we'd rather have you focus on the game and the fact that it's going to be in your hand in a matter of days. And one more thing - whenever we say something officially, we always put a person behind it.

Game developers said they would withhold the best graphics the PC version had to give, so when you played it so you would be totally .. "WOW!"

Also "over the last two weeks, we’ve increased performance on all platforms", meaning the patch on the release will have some impact.

Last but not least, it's quite logical to me that they hone graphics without the most fiercest settings on as this is the core of which performance must be perfect. So it's quite believable that over the last two weeks, they have increased performance on the fiercest settings.

Here's the good news:

We may have something to talk about! On a forum! So rare!

Here's the bad (?) news:

Everyone posting here, ( who isn't a mod or admin, because we are special, of course), EVERYONE is still subject to the Rules of The Forums. Regardless of how excited/betrayed/annoyed/amused you are.

Here's a summary of those Rules:

1. Don't break the (Polish) law! Obvious.

2. Don't be a jerk! To anyone! Get it? Or else.

3. CONTRIBUTE SOMETHING USEFUL TO SAY. Corollary: don't repeat yourself or start/engage in flamewars or trolling/antitrolling.

This thread may well get locked, depending on how constructive or bloody stupid it goes.

Hey, an "insider" told me that Half-Life 3 is FINISHED! Yeah! Now, I can't tell you, for obvious reasons, who that developer is, but you should take everything Valve says from now on with a grain of salt. Yeah.

So, refresher. Don't do anything rude or stupid or you'll be bounced or silenced or both.

I already said what the reason was. Failed console port of Witcher 1 almost made them bankrupt so they had to release a half finished game with Witcher 2 on PC. And they still made tons of money on it, enough to be able to make the 360 version and Witcher 3. This has nothing to do with them being PC only. They almost went bankrupt because their first attempt at going to consoles.
