Installation Problem

i installed the game after the second disk finished and i put in my activation code it starts downloading and when it gets to Verifyingatcher_ATARI.exe it restarts the same download and just keeps looping this action over an over. ive tried turning off any security software,firewall exct and also tried reinstalling multiple times.

Download the patch manually - in your case the Patch 1.0 -> 1.3 ( http://en.thewitcher.com/patch1-3/ ), and use that. Basically just cancel the auto-patcher that pops up after you do the installation, and once you cancel that, just run the manual patch. Once you update to 1.3, all future updates should automatically download. Good luck.

EDIT: Another thing (and I tested it last night and it works), is that when you pop in the CD, don't click on the autorun pop-up, instead go into the CD folder, and right-click on Setup and select Run as Administrator - when I tried it like that, the auto-patcher worked fine at the end of installation. I believe this is also noted in the official FAQ of technical issues.
