I have to say, I am quite irritated and annoyed by this thing that some call "gaming journalism". I've read all the previews which were posted so far, and that was a fucking waste of my time.

Agggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahhhhhaahahhhhhhhhhaaaaaah......aaagh.....ah...ah

Ok,well I really did expect this Biowareism or Bethesdism to happen to CDPR rather later than sooner. It's just that.....well....fuck it.At least they could implement something similar to hardcore mode of Fallout:New Vegas where for example herb collection would be mandatory in that mode and there could be some other hardcore aspects except simply enemies being harder.

I'm sad.Not angry.Just sad. They can both keep and eat their cake by implementing different difficulty levels (something I mentioned gazzilion times) but it seems they don't care.More likely they don't give a fuck. And that's ok.Game is gonna be awesome action-adventure with light rpg elements.

I guess that leaves us with inExile,Obsidian,Larian and maybe some other small studio like Bethesda,Bioware and now CDPR who will in begining make games they want to make and afterwards once they become popular they will start making games average housewife can play instead of Candy Crush (I exaggerate here obviously a little bit.)

Fuck it.......I'm gonna have fun with game.At least they may give few grams of fuck and release OPTIONAL OPTIONAL OPTIONAL OPTIONAL (this is not bug,but I need to make sure others who have problem with grasping that I'm just asking for something OPTIONAL which can only profit me and others like me and not influence them in any way or form) hardcore mode.

Fuck.Oh and Marcin Iwinski playing on easy and admiring Bugthesda and Bioware? What happend with 'we hate stupid games' and 'we make games from gamers for gamers'.I guess it was all BS which they used to bring them to this position when they can throw all of that through the window.

Sad but expected.Witcher 3 is gonna be what was Oblivion for Bethesda.Expect mates Cyberpunk 2077 to be kiddie's fucking Skyrim.

And on all of them potions refill out of thin air or Geralt just spits in them and magic spit transforms to potion.

If you ever played Fallout:New Vegas' hardcore mode you would know what I have on my mind.

That is probably a PR for consoles from him. As we officially know there will be extra tech features for PC. (Not to mention, most of the previews stated that even at the hands-on event, there was a visual difference between the PC and consoles. And it was not even Ultra settings on PC.)

There's no need of evidences. Devs repeatedly say that the game will be accessible (in terms of comprehensibility of the story-telling) even for those who never played TW 1 and TW2.
It's pretty clear that the lack of references to The Witcher 1 is the result of this choice. But I will happy to be denied.

No, it's not clear, you just picking words and base your personal assumptions upon it without any proof at all. "More accessible" doesn't mean streamlined and if they really would like to do what you implying, they wouldn't put characters from the books that even people who played previous games will not be able to recognize. If they can't find a place or role to play for characters from the first game in the story, there is no reason to include them, aside from some shoehorned fanservice.

Yeah, there is clearly a difference in visuals and performance between the PC and consoles based on every preview I've read, and this isnt even the PC's final form since Ultra is ready yet. Even among the consoles the PS4 is 1080p while Xbox is only 900p. His definition of "visual parity" probably just means that there are no major sacrifices made like you use to see on some crossgen games.

Yeah lets bash the game and call it "action-packed adventure with LIGHT RPG elements" without even touching it for a single fucking second...

You just gotta love these "Judges" who speak about things that they haven't even experienced and not going to do so for atleast 4 more months.

I guess CDPR's talk about their effort to create the best possible RPG only includes potion system alone and lets just forget all the others awesome things. RIGHT?!.........Right?

To some people an RPG is only a true RPG if it has crap like that.

Having to constantly hunt for potion ingredients is not fun, it's a chore.

Fun is subjective. That's why having different modes in which mechanics work a little bit differently would please almost everyone.

And yes it's light on rpg mechanics.Crafting from twitch stream QA is just finding recipe and ingrediants and taking it to smith. No customizing was confirmed though it was mentioned multiple times. And list goes on and on.

And yes I can criticize it as much as I want despite not playing it.Because if you can praise it based on what we have seen then I can also criticize it based on what was seen and confirmed.

Both articles are in Polish, but google translate to English is good enough. Both talk some about the hardware requirements.

I'd compare it rather to supernatural. I see The Witcher as a fantasy-world medieval version of Supernatural. Basically you are monster hunters on a quest to save the world from it's filth, often life of the hand with barely enough to get through, you are on the road a lot, often the situations are not black and white, every character has an angle - his or her own motivations and - last but not least, there is an overarching plot which involved personal motivations and feelings.
