Thank you! This is one of the very few articles worth reading (with google translate, unfortunately). The tidbits about weather, stealing, Gwent and so on are the things I was looking for.

Here is a Danish preview article. Mostly the same stuff going on: http://www.gamereactor.dk/previews/271334/The+Witcher+3:+Wild+Hunt/?sid=a5658c234533fbea3b46b27a3c89c96e

"When we reached a small clearing, which was home to a level 30 Earth-monster, our sword could not even pierce it. After several perfect hits nothing touched it and after one single hit from it, we lost half of our HP. We called on our horse, Roach, who took us away from the strained situation." - They were level 15.

Isn't this like in the old Gothic games? I think this system is great

from hardcoregamer.com preview:

Combat is no easy cakewalk. Geralt moves like a real human being, which means no superhuman feats of ripping enemies in half (i.e. Kratos). Watching an enemy carefully and judging its next move is as imperative to survival as is deciding if parrying or dodging is the best way to avoid taking damage. Simply put, you can’t just wade into combat in The Witcher 3. Consuming potions, using your magics and projectile weapons, and equipping a healing item will make combat easier, but you can’t let your guard down. Also, no regenerating health. You’ll either need to consume food or mediate to recover health (meditating does not restore health when playing hard or nightmare difficulties).

No health regeneration on hard+ above? Suddenly auto refill potion makes a bit more sense I guess

"For one, there are saddlebags attached to the horse, meaning players can store items in a bank-like area if their inventory is full, but still have those items easily accessible as the horse can be called to your side at any time. It’s also best to think of your horse as another character. So if you venture into an enemy infested area, or you try to travel to places at night and it senses opposition, the horse’s fear factor will start to flare up. If it maxes out, the horse will run away, leaving you alone with things that go bump in the night. Considering enemy levels don’t scale, if you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time, you could be in some serious trouble."

Idk if it's okay to quote something right away. I just thought it's so good :'3 and I can't actually explain it better.

Previous one wasn't so pessimistic, just the title of it made it much worse. Actual article was more positive than some other previews with positive titles.

Yeah, I got the same impression. I went in expecting something bad, but the actual things he wrote were... good? It confused me. Why play this silly game with the readers? Just be upfront, you're not under the capacity of a blogger, and I just finished the article thinking that you're just stubbornly trying to nurture some reputation of a hard-to-impress dude, nonchalant about what most people are excited about.

Anyway, I'm at this point where I don't see how any additional preview will tell me anything new. And there's too much to read, so if you guys come across something that you think stands out from the rest, I'll appreciate you highlighting it! I'm flooded right now.

Witcher 3 like GoT? Yes! I always thought the same :)

I just wish people would drop the GoT comparisons already, let witcher be its own thing and don't shove GoT comparisons into every flimsily related and even unrelated thing. (Im rather sensitive about this since Ive read both the Witcher books and Song of fire ice books and found that they had as much in common as the discworld series has with lord of the rings, so barely anything.)
