This one kinda worries me a bit, I hope Geralts jump animation looks and feels cool in the end.
I remember one of the first game play videos with gamespot I think, it was one of the 5min clips just before they released the full 35min demos. I saw Geralt jump on that cobble stone bridge just outside the city before the fast travel to the swamps, and it looked fine and weighty enough to me. I hope they didn't change that animation just becase a small handful of people on here didn't like it, because it looked real good to me. Also.. I thought that we could just scroll through the desired witcher signs we wanted, by just tapping the left bumper to cycle through them and not even have to bring up that darn full rotary wheel at all? Hmm.. that kinda sucks, I was hoping I could just cycle through them, oh well... some times the wheel has its advantages, but it can also slow the flow of combat down for better or worse, just like TW2.
Well, I really hope they can fix all these little textures e.g grass, bugs, screen tearing and as much pop in as humanly possible ...etc..etc or whatever else the QA people didn't like, and those other little animations here and there, on whatever needs improvement for Geralt & Roche before launch. I liked the footage I really do, but the only thing I noticed right away and stood out the most to me was the lack of sound difference between Geralt & Roche while walking on different terrains, also the lip sync looked a little off. I didn't see horse tracks or foot prints in the snow, but that might just be the due to the poor youtube video quality.
I also keep in mind that this game is very fucking demanding... almost as demanding as some of us crazy ass witcher fans, if not more! lol... On the bright side tho, No loading screens outside of fast travel guys and gals, and that's really awesome. Yeah, Geralts jump over that wall after he got off the horse looked a little silly, and yeah the dog floating across the ground as Geralt walked by it was kinda funny and should be fixed. All in All I am way more pleased with what I have seen, and send my support to the Red Team, to seek out and clean up any and all last remaining bugs they can in these last few months. Maybe if the team looks at it playfully, like a child, as if each bug they fix in this game, something awesome in real life will happen somewhere in the real world, and it can be anything they want it to be.
Call me crazy, but I hope team devs have fun, and kinda make a game out of fixing bugs in there real game at least. e.g they fixed a game bug, and someone found the cure for cancer, or someone you will never meet will be healed from whatever lol..idk stuff like that, it might sound silly... but that is the spirit of faith at work I guess, all mysterious and shit HaHa..
Just continue to have fun cdpr team, that is all I'm really trying to say
