I'm hoping that the game gets a sequel/prequel sometime in the futureThat game , even still today, has the best first person melee combat ever. I seriously recommend anyone that likes melee sword combat to play that game.

Volumetric Mist has nothing to do with Forward Soft Lit Particles - aka the effect that makes the burning village scene look so great. Whether FSLP is still in the game or not, we have no idea.Uhh, so no volumetric mist means, we wont see that burning smoke vilage effect in the final release?

One more question Shavod... It says here activating different skills will affect the fighting style. Do you know if they'll affect it only in terms of attribute (e.x. geralt deals more damage , geralts absorbs less etc etc..) or the skills will affect even Geralt's stance. The way he moves, the speed. For example for a certain skill activated he fights like in Cat mode where his stance changes from that in wolf mode.after unlocking the skill it needs to be activated. You do that by putting it into separate tree, which contains a limited number of slots (it will increase with character's progress). Activated skills affects Geralt's fighting style
I don't know.. I'm on the fence with this one a little bit. Hey, maybe it will be cool and not annoying, I don't know... I geuss we will see how it all turns out this May!!what? weighty armor making him slower but more protected, sounds right to me man.
Theres a thread for this you know ! Moderator ! Punish the Heretic !Activated skills determine tactics..
Duh. It was an "interview". OK, so maybe there wasn't an interviewer...Theres a thread for this you know ! Moderator ! Punish the Heretic !
Looks like something totally unseen in rpg game. Does their element(heavy/light..) changes the speed of your moves or is it entirely reliant on activated skills?Activated skills determine tactics. You choose (activate) some of them and you have resources to manage (stamina and adrenaline), so behaviour in combat depends on skill choices. In other words, to use your build properly, you cast signs, parry, dodge and hit with you sword more or less frequently. Some skills grant additional signs modes or special blows.
There are 3 types of armor elements: light, medium and heavy. Protection they grant is less important than synergy with combat tactics they are designed for. For example heavy armor favors agressive swordfighting. But you can mix armor elements to balance bonuses they offer.
If you like to twieak and customize, you'll find it attractive, I think.
Oh man, now this and the other things announced in that interview are the real deal of realisticness, at least as important as graphics imo (though I sure do hope that graphics can be exploited to the max on PC ~ words from the team and interviews have been confusing in that regard so far). From what they said, it looks like yes, Geralt moves a little differently depending on what kind of skills you activated or depending on what kind of weapon you holding.
