Range control is going to improve the combat over that of TW2 incredibly all by itself. Adding it with the other features we've been hearing it really shows how journalists are absolutely terrible in general when they say the combat is the same or very similar, its almost unbelievable to hear/read that kind of statement.

I'm happy that CDPRED managed to understand many of the key issues and obstacles with the combat in TW2, at the rate they are improving, if TW3 is not one of the best RPGs ever made, another game of them will be, its just a matter of time.

Well people start talking about, best RPG ever made, but in a few years time something new and better will come along. (Hopefully from CDPR) and it will do story, combat or anything else better.

But let's hope for now, TW3 will be the best RPG for now, and become a classic.

But..but, why'd you leave out FF8!?, that game is up there with the best imo, it's awesome (except for the junction system ;p)

I'm interested to see what Bethesda's response to Witcher 3 would be with the next Elder Scrolls game.
If all goes well and Witcher 3 sets the bar for the RPG genre, then Bethesda and other AAA RPG developers also have to step up their game in order to compete. A healthy competition like this would be really beneficial for the RPG genre, because to be honest we did not see a huge leap forward last gen and even this gen as of now.

Well, if there was new information to talk about it I'm sure we'd be talking about it :p

So make sure you talk about it once new article or interview pops out, plenty of other threads to post in :p

And, if not, you can always start one. The problem about having long conversations in THIS one is that it makes it difficult for anyone to find stuff about Interviews and Articles.

Hadn't noticed this interview before, couldn't find it via the search options.

Its a tech analysis of the PC 35 min gameplay vid and the xbone e3 demo, a lot of interesting tech talk, worth the watch.

I thought his The Order 1886 tech analysis was nothing short of brilliant and this one doesn't disappoint.

Pop in is by far the most ostentatious graphical shortcoming, made even more so by the sprawling vistas in the latest 15 min gameplay footage. I wish he would pick it up and dissect it. But I am aware there's no easy remedy for LoD afflcitions, perhaps no remedy at all.

Many thanks for posting the video.
It's great.

Something you'll have to live with, along with temporal instability(flickering/shimmering/crawling of objects/shadows etc) until we find ways to alleviate some them... well there are ways but it's not as simple as 123.

Does this include the flickering of the water, which is also quite prominent in the videos?

I was referring to most games in general not Witcher 3, can you link an example of what you're referring to?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgJUL3nN4iI#t=6m15s (the water on either side flickering slightly).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xx8kQ4s5hCY#t=2m00s (especially the canal and the stream in front of the brothel)

Hmmm, that's not 'crawling' like how I mean, I think you may be referring to the reflection/shadow on the water updating in slices instead of in realtime. At least that's what it looks like to me, if yes then that's not what I'm referring to

Yeah, I wasn't quite sure what it is, but it's really noticeable to me. I remember having a problem almost identical to that in Skyrim waters, until I think I changed my frame rate..

Most annoying thing for me is low distance shadow range in these demos.

For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-kBExyNm_Q in 1:38 min child shadow appeared when his body almost dissapeared from view. (I dont know why even shadow appeared then)

I know it was off topic and my English is terrible, soo i apologize for all of them. (This game and the game which i am working on are only games i am waiting for))))). i didnt play any game almost 6 month. Soo please make every thing ideal)

Do you think there will be a new trailer shown at pax east? I think its the last major gaming event before launch so it seems reasonable.
