In response to Tutux: I guess it's part eye candy and part what happened to TW2. In TW2 we could see Triss fully nude and Geralt, well... Not entirely nude. Which, to some internet activist(s), reeked of feminism... (It's mostly about eye candy though)

But I agree with you, I don't really see the problem with this rating or why it has sprung such a discussion. As long as it doesn't reach the Bioware sex scene level I'm probably fine with it. And from what I've read in that article, why it got the rating it got I can guess it's not on a Bioware level.

I'm sure we will see full nudity, just no incertion/penetration/orgasms..we might hear latter, and I'm fine with that lol...

Yep, theres no reason to suspect we won't be treated with exactly the same as TW2. There was no explicit sex scene in that either, the Elven baths were artful, non-gratuitous, and tastefully done. Suggestive is what you really want, seriously, full on in your face would just be tacky.

I've only read a few of those ESRB notices in my time, always games that might have trouble, but that one looks entirely standard, good stuff.

The words "f**k," "sh*t," and "c*nt" can be heard in the dialogue.

We can only hope the ESRB avoided the company of Dwarfs on principle, and thats why no mention of sucking dwarf c*ck, 'cos the game would clearly be utter crap without the fear your mother passes your room at the wrong time ;)

Hi, guys I just have one question refering to this past conversation about fog. I can live without volumetric fog. But the real question is - will there be volumetric or at least semi-volumetric clouds? I was really hoping that W3 will actually be the first open world game with real weather - where real storm clouds form with rain just in one specific place and moving. Some of the screens proved me I could be actually right, but gameplays never showed anythiing of that sort. Could someone clear this out? Thanks!
BTW - Jesus, I actually registered here 5 years ago and never wrote anything :D

At this point we don't really know if it's in or out. It was mentioned on some Nvidia presentation but I don't think we have had the confirmation that those options made the cut.

This is a real bummer. I think this might be cut out :(

No clue but what you're talking about has nothing to do with clouds being volumetric that's just the rendering tech, how it functions is an entirely different story

Rendering technology will not help much when you will not have volumetric clouds. Show me game when you have moving clouds with rain that are not volumetric. That looks at least 1/10 like that: http://plentyoflaughs.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Sun-Through-Rain.jpg
Please, maybe I don't know something ;)

? Volumetric IS a rendering tech(method is probably more appropriate), not sure what you're trying to say. Sunshafts/Lightshafts for example are volumetric.

Add 'other' to the beginning of my latest post and please cut to the point If you know anything, because this conversation is getting pointless.

You're right, it is getting pointless, you should take your "moving clouds w/moving rain" to the Wishlist thread since that has nothing to do with any articles nor something that was ever mentioned to be in the game IIRC.

Tbh guys the game is so much more than sex. Idk why people make a big deal if someone's parts was there or wasn't. :/ I'm not against it by all means, but not necessarily I'll be sad and disappointed if something wasn't there. It's the story that counts, it's the world, the quests, the hunt, and the well-written characters. These scenes were added just to make the interactions seem real, especially between lovers..It's not the main core of the game to watch them do it and especially watch their whatever parts. They have worked countless hours on the world and then you get disappointed just because Triss's or someone's else parts wasn't there. lol Appreciate the story, the struggle, the emotions more. :3 I mean Eredin will hunt your world people and I guess some players will be just lingering in the brothel. That's so not Geralt. btw I'm not against anything and I don't want to sound rude..It's just that I come by recently to watch interviews and important discussions and then all I see is either triss's parts there or not.

IMO this is part of many elements of the game. Of course it's not the main selling point but between something like in Bioware games and scenes that are made properly and extend from the story without romance BS as in Mass Effect games where you're just repeatedly talking to characters until a dialogue pops in and so on, I'd say it matters and then again just like DLC, few studios out there do it right.

Its not about the nudity itself, its about what it represents, and that is freedom of creativity for the developers, thats why its important. Because its important that CDPR can do what they want and makes sense in a believable world and story as much as possible, without having to go "wow guys cover that character's parts, the world is scared of sex and they wont allow it, havent you heard?". I know its a battle that cant be won fully, but at least I want to see them push it to the limit.

Geralt laying in bed after sex with pants is ridiculous in TW2, just saying...

I don't think I've suggested that they tone it down or do some other company's style..I guess I was a little misunderstood. I didn't even want you all to stop discussing it, who am I to do so? I mean it's there, it's a part of the game -even the books- none denies that. I was just saying how some people were so disappointed just because this or that character wasn't fully nude. I mean we've got nudity in the opening scene..what do you expect? It's still there I don't understand the so much worry that some parts weren't exactly shown. Discussing how the scenes are going to affect the characters/relationships/interactions and the game itself is fine and very important I'm with this just not you know some character's parts lmao.

I know you didnt want the game to be toned down, I was just mentioning why its important. Some people can get disappointed at the lack of nudity because it could imply that the game was not represented as its creators wanted it, or as it would've made more sense, whatever worries each person. However that can only be confirmed when we play the game and see how the sex scenes were made, as it stands now, no nudity doesnt mean any "outside limitations" had to be imposed to the game necessarily.

I for example hope we will get to see Geralt naked more often if the camera is supposed to capture that, because I wasnt very fond of TW2's "mature" approach that conveniently shows only women's butts. Thats another detail that takes away from the work as a whole regarding body parts :p

LIttle heads up of a new preview at Gamesradar.com.

http://www.gamesradar.com/witcher-3-preview/

Nothing really revolutionary it it, but a little info not explicitly stated elsewhere. New monster (botchling), describes a different quest, a little talk about a large underwater section, some combat tidbits.

Honestly, this and the last Gamesradar preview (http://www.gamesradar.com/witcher-3-wild-hunt-will-better-skyrim/) have been some of my favorite previews lately. They haven't gone too in depth into mechanics, but have both dropped these hints that there is so much potential exploration (the water section mentioned above and the earlier one talks about the sewers under Novigrad being almost another city and an area within the city called "the attics").

Main thing that caught my eye there that added something new:

You’ll have to search for signs of the creature by scanning attack sites for clues, which handily glow when you activate Geralt’s Witcher vision. These work a bit like Batman: Arkham City’s crime scenes – examine the right clues to see ghostly sequences play out, representing the working of Geralt’s expert imagination. Found a naked man hanging out of a tree? Geralt will figure out the trajectory that put him there and deduce the size and power of the monster involved, like a medieval Sherlock Holmes.

I'll just continue to be more and more disappointed at Witcher Senses and their apparent hand-holding nature, as well as the rigid scripted-ness of their implementation.

Sounds great art wise but zero fun and gameplay, so I hope they dont use them a lot.

Weren't those crime scenes in Batman Arkham Origins and not in City?
