Q: How does the system of upgrading weapons look like? Do you have to find any specific ingredients? Is it necessary to find an appropriately skilled blacksmith?[h=1]The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt FAQ – featuring devs from CD Projekt RED! Updated: March 18, 2015[/h]

Q: Can you explore Vizima freely?
A: No, the story will be limited to the palace in Vizima. [RED]
So Dark Mode doesn't have permadeath afterall. What will characterize the Dark difficulty level? Will it be the same as Hard with the exception of permanent death?
There are 4 difficulty levels. Easy, Normal, Hard, and Dark. There is no permadeath; the Dark level is simply more difficult than Hard. [RED]
All that discussion for nothing :SSo Dark Mode doesn't have permadeath afterall.
There's definitely going to be a physical disc in the retail version of the game.. and about the repair of items, atleast weapons can be repaired with the help of some special itemsAll that discussion for nothing :S
Hopefully there is actually going to be physical discs in the retail version of the game. Hopefully the talk about a GOG code is like a bonus or something, I'll be pretty damn annoyed if there's no physical discs.
Also this: "Yes. Geralt’s crafting knowledge is limited to alchemy, so items can only be repaired by craftsmen."
Seems to imply you can't repair your own weapons, so perhaps we will have to visit a blacksmith each time after-all (Not that I'm annoyed by that).
Hopefully they truly did cut down on the pop-in as stated. Kind of sad to hear there isn't an increased draw distance on PC though.
All-in-all, just give me May 19th. This wait is death. I guess we've hit the official 2 month mark now .
That's not what it says tho, it says you can't manually fiddle with the draw distance. This is not the same case as increasing say "Environment Quality" from High to Ultra increases the draw distance and other things. That still doesn't mean you can manually change the draw distance, atleast that's what I gather from it.Kind of sad to hear there isn't an increased draw distance on PC though.
I remember an interview somewhere back there that said not only do you have to use black smiths, but that if you have a masterwork crafted sword, you have to use a masterwork level craftsman to fix it (looking for interview).Seems to imply you can't repair your own weapons, so perhaps we will have to visit a blacksmith each time after-all (Not that I'm annoyed by that).
Yeah, the repair thing is odd since we had a Red in the topic about durability pop in and state that Geralt would be able to repair his own equipment. There is no "RED" next to that question so it could be that the author of the article is mistaken. All that discussion for nothing :S

Yea that's a possibility. Admittedly there was a few things in the interview which seemed to renege on other statements previously made (Like Darkmode not having permadeath).Yeah, the repair thing is odd since we had a Red in the topic about durability pop in and state that Geralt would be able to repair his own equipment.
Well, that covers a lot of ground. The Witcher 3 interview: CEO Marcin Iwiński on sexism, free DLC and Game of Thrones (18.3.2015)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO .__.
Are mission targets marked on the map too?
They are, although, similarly to Dragon Age: Inquisition, these are either precise spots/characters or broader areas that you first have to explore (e.g. using the medallion). Of course, the only missions marked on the map are the ones you set as active in the journal, thus the indicators can be easily removed.
This is a shame.
Is it possible to adjust draw distance on PC version?
No. Most distances (e.g. for meshes) are set in assets
And this is sad.
Why? It says you can easily turn it off. This is a shame.
